No bones about it, that looks terrible. I've grown to love the work that has gone into Rushn' Attack, Double Dragon, etc.

This image wrap around the game screen is terrible and something that has become a deal breaker for me.

Galga being the exception.

I hope there will be more Contra in the future for the XBLA. I know Contra 4 would of been a nice addition to XBLA. I wonder if we'll get Contra III?

Why in the hell cant konami give us the nes versions of contra? They were way way better and wouldnt require an adaption of screen size.
The acrade version of this series pretty much sucks. Thank goodness there was no arcade version for 3, the alien wars. Still if this is 400 points itll be a hell of alot of a better deal than that Missle command shit.

Who cares if the wrap around the game screen looks like crap, cant believe thats a deal breaker for some of you, if the game is just like it was when I played it before on the NES then why not get it. Alright it isn't the only deal breaker but I've noticed that since the reworked versions of the classics have hit the Arcade I don't like buying the image wrapped classics.

A poor image wrap however would never keep me from classic games I really enjoy. Again, that means Galaga to me. I have to say that I was never a big Contra fan.

And about marriage because of our common dislike of the image wrap. Well you know some of the best relationships are born from differing opinions, there tiger!

Looks like the arcade version to me. I f-ing loved that game. I was so obsessed with it, I made my dad come and shoot video of the screen as I played all the way through it at our local Alladin's Castle. Just so I could watch it at home and draw characters for what I wanted in a sequel. How's that for geh and nerdy?

Damn, I remember Aladin's Castle. As for the border screen, EVERY Xbox Live Arcade title should have the option to make the border black. Street Fighter 2 can do it, why can't other games?

All XBLA games have an option to adjust the screen size so you don't have a fruity looking border on the screen. I usually adjust mine to almost completely match the size of my screen. Widescreen HDTV 26 inch Panasonic looks good.
