Well, our pong logo was "borrowed" by Wired Game|Life blog, so we've got some special plans in store for the new logo ... more about this after E3! :)

This is our first redesign ever, after over three years of existence. I would argue it's long overdue!
I think you'll grow to love the new look ... it's not so much different.

I actually find this new design much better than the old one. It doesn't take as long to load, and it's much more... easy on the eyes.

What's with the little Mario picture next to everyone's names, though?

Change that logo by either scaling it down to give it more white space around the edges, or just bring back the old logo. That new one doesn't look right. Good job with the redesign, hope you guys make it through E3!

Looking good...
Maybe you want to put a little profile of each user, so, when someone click the name, i.e. Fernando Rocker, opens a little profile, with a pic, name, favorite console, what are playin now... just the basic.

Working on just that Fernando, and you'll be able to change your password, avatar, and linked URL as well. It just wasn't ready in time for launch.

It'd be nice if can have a log in region near top of the site so don't have to keep typing in password every time want to comment as well. I'm sure Joystiq's already onto that idea.
Nice site redesign by the way. Like the minimalist look, and once the whole avatar gets set up, it'll add variety. At the minute, although I love Mario, that avatar is getting monotonous in every post.

@C. Grant
Nice to ear that... but will be better if the linked url in the name opens a little window, here in the same Joystiq webpage, so everyone we are the same.

Very sleek, very clean, I love it. HOWEVER- please let the comments section expand for more than 50 comments. I think 100 comments per page would seem like an adequate amount. And awesome! Avatars!

The comments will be bumped back up to 50. They're set at 25 now to make sure everything's working alright.

ermm... I think it looks a wee bit too busy. if everything were on either left or right... it's too garish for me to check it at work now, methinks. also I liked the old comment system's dual color scheme to differentiate posts. one white, next yellow, next white. i dunno. I don't like it. possibly add edit button? and not have to log into email to add comments?

Really? Most people we tested the design on found it to be much cleaner and easier to read. Less garish, if you will.

I would like it if the alternating colours returned. Maybe a light gray or blue. I think they look nice and keeps me from wandering.
But the choice of temporary avatar may just fuel the trolls. :)

I also liked the alternating colors between comments. I mean, its totally readable now, but the alternating comment colors just broke it up a bit more for me, which I liked.

I agree that the alternating colors really helped. Also, I hate avatars. But I think it's just me... otherwise, nice.
As long as we're suggesting stuff, can we get a feature that shows the comment your replying to above this text box? That would be useful.

Jury is still out on all the changes. The Mario avatars give you bonus points.
