Man, Atlus is all over the DS like a Priest on a boy!

I wish they would've brought Odin Sphere to the Wii, though.
If they're gonna port a thousand PS2 games, at least port the friggin' good ones.

No. Go buy a PS2. They're cheap enough, afterall!

But, yeah, massive support for DS. Good times.

I do have a PS2...and Odin Sphere.
But I'd still rather have some quality games on the Wii, too.

Atlus is a translator, not a developer. For Odin Sphere, that was all VanillaWare. It's just that Atlas worked with VanillaWare from a very early standpoint so that the translation could be closely times with the release of the Japanese version.

I would say Atlus needs to license and bring over some of the more wacky Wii games but so far, it's been fairly tame.

Actually, Atlus is both a developer and a publisher. Granted, I'm sure their developer studio(s) go under different names than just "Atlus" (Much like how Nintendo and Sega are the name of the publishers, and the developer studios have different names).

Nope, Atlus doesn't ruin Lunar SSSC with Austin Powers quotes. So they are better. And Nippon Ichi has been doing a good job filling those shoes as well.

Awww, but I liked some of that humor that Working Designs had. Oh well, I need to pay more attention to some of these newer companies, been too caught up with finding gems for my Saturn.

There is, of course, a distinct difference between humor and pointless pop culture references. Or let's put it this way.

A game that kept getting delayed for 2+ years and WD is remaining silent on why. Finally drops, and as I'm searching around the town for the one character I got to speak to before I get to move on with my life, I get a jackass telling me "Oh behave!" Not to mention a bandit repeating "Yeah, baby... YEAH!" And then thing that delayed the game by their own admission?

http://spiritsdancing.typepad.com/spirits_dancing/2004/03/punching_nuns_a.html

A simple RPG translation delayed for multiple years because of those punching nun puppets. An obsession that actually spawned the Punching Ghaleon puppet preorder promo.

Working Design had their days of glory and it mostly consisted of a Saturn Logo on the side. Atlus, Mastiff, and even Nippon Ichi Software US has more than filled those shoes.

AtLUS, AtLUS, AtLUS....

My brain isn't working quite right today... must be the heat in conjunction with a broken AC unit. That, and for the last couple months, for no apparent reason, I've been waking up at 3am...

Do you have an overactive mind? I know I have difficulty sleeping because my mind is always thinking.

I sometimes take melatonin vitamins, as they help calm my mind, and make it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Just a suggestion.

The only one there that interests me is Trauma Center.

Draglade got bad reviews.

Ontamarama is another rhythm game, and I've never liked that genre.

I don't like Touch Detective's style.

See, this is the kind of games that need to be on Nintendo consoles! I'm all about the quirky, offbeat games, but that does NOT have to mean "mini-game collection."

I can tell just from the art chosen for this article that I will never even look at one of these games. Lame Anime art FTL...

Too bad, that rules out a ton of great games.

Well, the art used for Draglade, which is what you see above, is pretty unoriginal. It seems like a stereotypical kids' show or something, which is understandably not appealing.

On the other hand, if you rule out ALL manga/anime-style art in games, then yes, you will miss out on many great games.

I hope Microsoft's big E3 announcement is that Halo 3 will now be sportin' anime cell shading for it's graphics, now that you said that.

Didn't that already get picked up by someone else?

In any case, that game didn't look like much fun to me. I borrowed my friend's JP version, and it was just a long series of logic puzzles that I'd already done as a kid.
