More details on Spielberg's LMNO, PQRS projects

Spielberg's PQRS game for Wii will sport versus and co-op play. User-generated content is referenced, as with the Wii remote you can reportedly "build your own fun games and structures or turn the same Wii remote into a destructive tool to bring them crashing down."
The vague description for project LMNO sounds much like a science fiction film: it "focuses on a touching and ever-changing relationship between you and a mysterious female character who holds the key to many futures." The game is announced for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and now PC.

Ico, much?
megaStryke @ Jul 10th 2007 1:16PM
From just that release, the Wii game sounds more appealing. User-generated content over some sci-fi fluff piece.

PQRS sounds like Legos.
ThornedVenom @ Jul 10th 2007 6:45PM
As long as those legos have some sort of animation and AI, it'd be interesting. Imagine a game where you could build your lego army to launch massive destruction on your foe's lego bits!
Martin @ Jul 10th 2007 1:19PM
Can anyone explain to me the reason for the secrecy? Does anyone care that much about what Spielberg's latest video games are going to be?
Mr Khan @ Jul 10th 2007 1:19PM
They're actually BOTH sounding good now
user generated content ftw

Spielberg makes fahking movies...
What the hell does he know about games? Dumbass.
Go make a sequel to E.T.!
Spielberg, phone home and leave gaming alone.
snr0n @ Jul 10th 2007 7:00PM
Riiiight, because The Dig was *such* an awful game, and what on earth convinced him to publish The Neverhood through Dreamworks? Dumbass. :)

I guess that explains why he's not wearing his wrist strap then.

FrankTheCrank @ Jul 10th 2007 3:04PM
dpad,
how's UR 360? RROD yet? soon enough.
I'll wait for the updated hardware while you call tech support and wait for your 360 coffin.
Zertoss @ Jul 10th 2007 1:43PM
Needs more Pinky and the Brain and/or Freakazoid.
Both games sound like interesting concepts. I want to hear more. MOAR!

C'mon Guys....
Spielberg deserves more credit than you think. He helped create the Medal of Honor Franchise. He was behind at least the first two that were extraordinary, being PS1 games.
I also read some thing about PQRS being something like North by Northwest meets E.T.....Sends chills up my spine thinking about it. Nice to know its for PC now too.
Paul P. @ Jul 10th 2007 2:29PM
So vague it's hard to determine anything, but PQRS sounds kind of like an offline the sims/second life/lego, where you can build or design stuff but without the human characters.
zwarrior @ Jul 10th 2007 2:30PM
So Wii is for easy, casual, multiplayer games
and the other systems for longer, epic games with bigger budgets and higher ratings.
megaStryke @ Jul 10th 2007 2:42PM
Nice topspin on that serve, zwarrior. Very nice.
TheSecretWeapon @ Jul 10th 2007 2:48PM
Is that Louis Castle I see.
That man's presence alone makes this story worthwhile.

I assert that anything Spielburg touches turns to firm and sexy sauce!
