I'm still betting that the Marathon game will be played/unlocked from within the Halo 3 single-player campaign, as the 'meta-game' previously disclosed. I'm guessing that there will be a different Marathon level for each 'hidden console' found within each SP level. And beating the Marathon levels unlocks the armor permutations for MP.

So I'm not expecting Marathon Live Arcade...

I don't think Bomberman will come out this week, because MS likes to stagger the releases of the MP-focused arcade games so each has a chance to reach a critical mass in terms of online population. Carcassone came out late June, so Bomberman probably won't come out until late July at it's earliest.

Golden Axe, Missle Command and Sonic a good SP games to release until the next big MP game. (Hoping for Bomberman!!!)

Yo Golden axe is gonna be a sweet MP game, better than the turtles and that did quite well.

I've gotta wonder is this the begining of the arcade or the extent of the arcade.

Are we one day gonna get totally sweet games in the arcade like powerstone, Alienfront online, Quake 3 arena? Or is 16/32 bit the extent of what the arcade will become for the 360.

How well did Turtles do, again? I missed those numbers. :)

UNO, Carcassone, Worms, Texas Hold-em and Catan are the heavy-hitters when it comes to MP, and the other releases between those are mainly SP or local MP (like Turtles). Golden Axe is probably is in the latter of those two groups.

Don't get me wrong, it will probably sell similar numbers to Turtles and Double Dragon.

I'd prefer Sonic. There's no nostalgic value in Golden Axe for me... plus I'm going to be away from my console for a number of months after next Wednesday.

Sonic but you can pick up a copy of sonic megacollectionPlus for xbox (which has every sonic game minus SonicCD) for like 12 dollars.

And with no updated graphics or anything else I don't see the point.

Golden Axe sounds fun, though I'd prefer Altered Beast, which was also developed by Makoto Uchida. The game that would be perfect for XBLA is the original version of Populous.

Just saying almost all my friends on my list have turtles and thier not friends I made in the game. The only game U mentioned above that Ive noticed like that is Uno. I hardly would call catan and carcassone heavy hitters, they do ok but I dont like them and no one I game with like them either. I play those kinda games when the power is out.

i loved Golden Axe & Sonic. Since my 360 is being repaired i was bored & bought for 19.99 the Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2. So i won't be buying Golden Axe nor Sonic. Hoping Bomberman is good; but after getting Prince of Persia & Pacman CE i can wait. that is when i get my system back in a week or 2.

Dont know if it matters to U or not but sonic and golden axe on the 360 will have achievments and gamer score. Not to mention there is no getting up and changing disc to play the games on the 360 thier just built right in. Also Golden Axe will be playable online with friends which makes the expierence extremly better than the version U have.

Let's just hope that Golden Axe is the arcade version, not the (excellent though) Megadrive- Genesis version like the majority of golden axe release on home/portable consoles.
