Ace Combat 6 and NCAA Football 2008 demos on Xbox Live
If you're like one certain disgruntled Joystiq blogger who's kicking it east coast this week, you've felt a little jilted watching all the new games everyone will get to play at E3. But you know what? Let those snobs have their fun. We that remain are going to be having some exclusive sneak preview action of our own with the new demos of Ace Combat 6 and NCAA Football 2008 on Xbox Live.Sure, they may get to check out a few, well, hotter properties, but you know how journalists at E3 are ... it just kills them that the blogger they left behind has access to something that they don't. We bet those guys wish they brought their 360s now! ... Wait, really? Well, crap.

I really wanted to be able to tell that NCAA was running at 60FPS and use words like "silky" and "seamless" but I couldn't really tell. I am old though, so that could be part of the problem.

Is Ace Combat 6's demo up now? (at work, can't check)
Holzmiento @ Jul 11th 2007 9:56AM
It is up, yes. It says campaign.
Stupidiot @ Jul 11th 2007 9:53AM
Screw those games, when are we going to see the Assassin's Creed demo on the marketplace?
Justin @ Jul 11th 2007 10:27AM
Can some of the jobless give us a Ace Combat impression?

Haha! I may go home for lunch to try it out.

LMAO! Tried both during the wee hours of the morning. I actually enjoyed both demos. NCAA 08 does run much better than the previous installment, but has some stuttering issues and occasional glitch animation. Ace Combat 6 felt just like the older games, the graphics sure do look spiffy.

Ace Combat demo was true to the original, nice graphics excellent gameplay. Seems like a must-buy.

The Blue Dragon trailer is not worth mentioning? I can't wait to go home and try that!
Arno @ Jul 11th 2007 10:37AM
Did I say trailer? I meant DEMO! :)

Nevermind I'm fucking dumb.. Ignore me, please!
dpad @ Jul 11th 2007 10:44AM
Why?
I saw the Blue Dragon demo last night on Live. It was around 1GB.
Haven't tried it out though.
Anyways...looking forward to some detailed AceCombat impressions...

It's because Joystiq already reported about the BD demo. :)
deaftly @ Jul 11th 2007 11:12AM

Please raise your hand and scream if your Xbox 360 is out for repair.

I just finished playing AC6-- very fun. If ya'll have questions feel free to shoot'em at me. Here are some short impressions:
Graphically very impressive. My only two complaints are that the ground textures become embarassing below 1500 ft. of altitude. Also, the HUD gets a little busy at times.
Gameplay was pretty fun...a bit easy, but I'm sure it becomes more difficult as the game goes on.

I have a question...
Are the cockpit interiors modeled well?
