Call of Duty 4 to do the public beta thing on Xbox Live
Developer Infinity Ward was on hand at Microsoft's E3 2007 keynote to show off their shiny new Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360. More than just a simple demonstration of the game's graphics, Infinity Ward was present to announce a public multiplayer beta for Call of Duty 4, exclusive to the Xbox 360.
Like some other game we won't mention, the beta will be distributed over Xbox Live. Though no date for the beta was given, the audience was encouraged to check CharlieOscarDelta.com for more details (in case you're confused, that'd be 'C' 'O' 'D' in army lingo).

I'm glad they moved away from WWII. This game looks amazing, and I will certainly give it a try when it comes out.

This game looks so great. I'm going to be so broke from Sept to Dec.
I think PS3 users will ignore this game, since they all seem to think FPS are for the 360 crowd. =p

It's actually nice to be able to post near the top sometimes. Either most people are from the East Coast, or all they do is troll this blog while working .

Could they have gotten two bigger stereotypes to present this game with? Guys, you're at a massive press event, pre-frayed jeans and tennis shoes, very classy. I could only imagine the pungent stench they left behind as they walked off.

haha, I was thinkin the same thing. Microsoft was trying to reach its core base

It kind of seems stupid to do a beta for one console and no the other. It like the developer really doesnt care about the mp aspect for the ps3. Beta testing is a uselful tool for the developers more than a treat for us. This "exclusive" treatment is one of the dumbest things Ive heard from E3 so far.
