I don't think Epic has a choice regarding the new content arriving on the 360. Now, I don't think we'll get it until a few months after the PC release, but we'll get it. They'd piss off a lot of people if they didn't make it available. Alienating your largest new fanbase is never a good idea.

I'm glad I bought a 360 for this when I knew I could have just played it on my existing PC for cheaper and with more content.

Agreed, Ithilis. Bring on the Brumak! Cross platform play would be pretty stellar.

Cross platform play should be made available, as well as all the content should come to the 360, if not free, then for a small price.

It's not about pissing people off. Of course it will be available... how can the PC people play with their 360 buddies if they don't have the same game content?

not only will the PC version have more content, i bet they will drop it for $50, with all the things all of us have paid for off of XBL.
thats pretty damn weak if you ask me.

and the right "write" in "it looks like Microsoft may be trying to make things write with PC gamers." is spelled "right". lol

I'm not trying to be a troll here, but this couldn't be any more clear now. If you have a gaming PC, a 360 is a waste of money. Fable, Halo, Gears, anything that M$ touches ends up on the PC. And to those who say "but you have to wait 6mo/1year before you can play", that's fine with me. I don't like paying $60 for 'brand new' game anyways. Now I'll buy it for $50 on the PC, and get more content.

Patrick, I have a 360 and now rarely use the PC for gaming. I'd rather sit on the couch, fire up the projector for some 100" gaming goodness, and throw down online with my friends with simple Live play.

If you're savvy enough, there's no need to pay full price for games. I got Gears of War the day it was out for about $30CAD using a trade-in program. (I'm subsequently waiting until September for the map pack to be free).

@ Patrick #7

You're right in saying that all of the big titles will eventually show up on PC, but the multiplayer communities for these games will live on console.

Halo 2 is played more on the 2 Xbox consoles than it is on PC - and considering that shooters revolve around multiplayer, it's worth the extra $10 to play it on console.

On the other hand, games like Team Fortress 2 and Unreal Tournament are a waste on 360 because the multiplayer communities will live on PC.

@9. Halo 2 isnt a real fair comparison concidering it's Vista only (and no one wants Vista in the gaming community yet). Gears will decide alot more of that then Halo could for that alone.

You mean "right" not "write", right?

I'm gussing how people like to play depends on how they first learned how to play. To me, FPS games just aren't the same w/o keyboard & mouse. But for those who started gaming /w Halo, (or even Goldeneye) I think you might feel more comfy sitting by your tv.

To me, if I'm on the couch, I'll be playing something like Mario, Final Fantasy, or any racing game.

Although, I don't blame you... If I had the money for 100 inches of HD glory I'd prolly spend more time there too.

I think it's kinda unfair to criticize MS for making its own content avaible on other platforms it makes, Patrick. My reason for consoles is that you don't have to constantly worry about upgrading them. I bought a brand new laptop last fall for school and it barely runs SW Battlefront 2. It runs great on a big black beast.

Now if I have to start upgrading my 360, then I'll sour on MS.

i have windows vista ant its good for gaming i also have halo 2 on both formats but i prefer it on xbox as it feels like home but its easyer on the eyes on pc games for windows is a great idea but only if they bring the games out at the same times as their xbox counterpart if there is online play between the 2 as on halo 2 if u play with only pc gamers against xbox gamers its really not much of a contest as their all veterans a "noob pawnage"
