I figured out what that strange peice of equipment is! Its not that grenade that the analysis say...its the energy sword! Look at pic 7 at bungie's website: the Arbiter has one of these where Master Cheif's sidearm should be. It looks exactly like an energy sword that hasn't been "turned on".

You can see the Fuel rod being fired. At 49 seconds in while chief is in the warthog turret the marine fires the Fuel Rod Gun.

also, did anyone else notice what appears to be some sorta plasma-rifle that the Arbiter was carrying, during the closing scene? (he's on the Scarab, fighting a gold-armoured Brute)

at one point in this vid he gets distracted and fails to notice a five person warthog, its right after the time he pauses the vid and says some nonsense about the grunts wanting to shoot the phantom

Sorry but the reason why Kayleigh is on G4 may be because she's hot but they didnt make her do that Maxim shoot. She got fired from Al Gore's(or some other green congressman) tv station because of it.
