Kojima done with Metal Gear series

As he presented his piping hot trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, (here's a link) Hideo Kojima related the sad news that the game, due in early 2008, would be his last entry in the series and the end of the story. "So, all the story plot, the characters, the mysteries, will be revealed," he said through his translator, as the Incredible Hulk sadly walking away music began playing in our imaginations.
He promises that he's putting everything he's got into the series finale though, a fact that seemed to be evidenced by the trailer, which was capped by an absolute stunner of a battle between Vamp and Ninja Raiden. Though not playable at the conference, Kojima said he'd be demoing gameplay in Tokyo next week. Count us enthused.

Well, I just downloaded the DEMO to my PS3. I want to see if the game is ALL THAT. Did Kojima squash the Multi-platform rumor?

Its his last game in the series, and snakes last appearance.
he ahs said quite a few times that raiden will be the next star, which is why he is going through the effort to make Raiden look cool, after making him look dumb in 2.
I just hope the next director doesnt turn the series to crap

It's over and that's sad, but I'm glad to see a franchise die before it gets milked to death. Personally, MGS3 was a masterpiece and possibly the peak of the series. I have pretty high hopes for MGS4 and I think Kojima will go out with a bang.

I agree. Not to mention, Kojima should totally bring over his dating sims. If anyone can sell a dating sim in America, it's gotta be Kojima.

I feel bad that I'll never get to play this title now. Bring it to other systems so us average people don't have to cough up a second job to play it.

WAIT!!! he's done with the Metal gear seires, it can't be man!!! he's the mastermind of story, he's the guy that bronge tactical Espionage to life with MGS, whats wronge with him? well...He's not really done, he need to finish his back-up, in the end of the first 15 min. trailer his producers made, there was a guy Camoflaged as a stone that looked just like solid snake, but in his younger age, meaning theres another clone, meaning more MGS, what you going to do now hideo, finish the series in MGS 5!!! not 4...that mea that Resident evil is goig to beat you, noooo!!!!
