Unreal Tournament III timed exclusive for PS3, can share mods with PC

At their E3 2007 press conference today, Sony confirmed that Epic's Unreal Tournament 3 will be a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 3, coming out this year only for the Sony console -- guess they didn't have to buy it. Also confirmed (and very exciting) is the ability to share mods between the PS3 and PC versions. When the PC version comes out next year, at least.

Marty, couldn't agree with you more. I always knew the PS fanboys were just jealous hypocrites. A year ago FPS games sucked and the 360 sucked because that was "all it had" now Killzone 2, Resistance, and UT3 are the move sought after PS3 titles by Sony fans.

The sad part is that the people that play this game on PS3 will never experience it the way it was meant to be played on a PC. Pity.

"When they say "exclusive" they mean a console exclusive which means no other console this year. The exclusivity does not affect the PC versions in any way. Our plan is to ship on PC and PlayStation 3 this November. After all how would people bring those great mods over from the PC to the PS3 if we didn't ship the PC version?"
