Video: Resident Evil 5 goes to Africa
11
Last night, Capcom announced that the Resident Evil franchise would be headed to the Xbox 360 and showed off their latest trailer for Resident Evil 5. The trailer (embedded above) is not the complete version as the extended version hasn't been shown yet, but will be released for download off the XBLM on July 26th. What more is there to say other than this is Resident Evil 5, in daylight, in Africa, and is a game that gets us very excited.

I've never been a big RE guy, but this does look pretty intriguing.

This shit is gonna be tight! RE in Africa; the RE storylines always rock. THIS is something to be excited about. Not for graphics whores, but for dudes that appreciate a good story and a long, difficult campaign. Rock on...

Nice. I can't wait to play as the lone heroic white guy who gets to mow down hordes of diseased black African zombies without remorse. Not. Racist. At. All.

If you are against zombies is that really being a racist. Wouldn't that be more like a "deadist"... or actually I guess I should be saying the Non-Living or the "Living Impaired".
Or perhaps I should think less intently about a video game and if I'm going to grand stand about something then be more constructive with my time.

Isn't that Haiti? It makes more sense considering the whole voodoo culture over there.

If the game is set in a predominantly black country, it would be more racist to add a diverse cast of white, black, latin, asian, female, and handicapped zombies so no one is hurt because it implies that the people in the country should be treated differently due to their skin color. Were Spaniard rights activists up in arms over RE4? No, so shut up.

gross. I can devour hearts all night long and not be as grossed out as I was by that one bulging bloody eye shot.
I must be getting old :) Looks sweet, though.

I hate games that start off in an imaginary place like oh say... Racoon City, and now are placed in realistic settings. WTF. Exactly where is Africa geograffically from Racoon city Capcom? Quit fucking around Capcom and give me God Hand on the 360 and Viewtiful Joe in the Arcade along with Powerstone FTW!!!
