It looks like the sudoku engine from Brain Age re-geared for crosswords and spun off into it's own product. Somehow I predict the start of a "Nintendo Puzzle Series"

I will actually get this. I love the Brain Age-like approach that was used for sudoku in Brain Age (and a shame it wasn't used in any other sudoku game for DS).

It'd be nice if we could create our own puzzles and exchange them with another users, like Mario vs DK 2.
