C'mon, everybody! Sing along!
Well, I've never really sold that well, but I've frustrated plenty. It's true that you can try me for no pay, a-hey-hey. I've gotten burned over long load times after blowin' up for the 20th time, but at least I'm not as bad as on GBA, a-hey-hey. You might say you're gonna buy me, you may think I'm really lame, but I'm the Stuntman demo that just came out today.
OK, so we're no Lee Majors, and the demo is actually for Stuntman: Ignition (try working that into a lyric!). But it's E3, cut us some slack. We're actually curious to see what you guys think of this one. So ... what are you waiting for? Go play and discuss!

this game is action packed and amazing. it is hard but once you figure out the route and the controls the game is really fun. also if you plug in your head set the director's voice goes through your headset.

the image with this post...is that a scene from The Rock?
i'm of two minds on if i think it's cool that you can actually control insane scenes from action movies, or if it's a lack of creativity.

I can't sing along if I don't know what the heck you're trying to parody. Demo just downloaded, going to try it now.

durrr... anyway, I thought Stuntman on PS2 was a brilliant game, there was nothing like working on one scene for a month on and off then finally getting it and seeing it play out with the "movie" camera angles!
Hell, I stopped playing it for over a year because i was so frustrated with the tokyo level, then came back and beat it in 3 tries.
"Smash through those boxes"
"Overtake that car"
"Jump on to the boat"
I want to play this game.

hmmm, i must be the only one here who not only liked both the ps2 and gba games, but liked what i played of the demo too.... oh well.
yes it does get very deep into trial-and-error territory but the action is very visceral, the driving is pretty spot-on and the fact that graphics hold up well with everything going on im giving it my seal of approval.

The parody is the theme tune to "the fall guy" starring Lee Majors as a stuntman (who drives a pick up). The song is called "the unknown stuntman" and I frickin loved that series as a kid.
Problem is you have to be over 30 years old at least to get the reference, which sadly I am (just).

The original was so horrible, I don't dare delete anything off my already packed HDD to try this one. If it's anything like the original, you will drive through a 5 minute long course, get to the stunt, fail to do the stunt correctly, and then wait 5 minutes for it to reload you at the beginning of the course.
I'm still hoping for an Assassins Creed demo =P or Halo 3 single player. It could happen =/

This game is hard, and you'll be replaying the same level many times, but the reward from seeing your replay is simply awesome. It's an incredibly fulfilling reward, seeing al the amazing stunts from what looks like a cut scene from so other game, and knowing you did those bad ass stunts. If this game packs in a ton of these stunts (50 or more) I'll have to add it to my long list of games to play this winter.

I guess i should give a little mini review. The controls are sloppy. Feels very much like crazy taxi(a much better game) The damage sucks. Guide arrows are distracting and everywhere, like burnout, but 100 times worse. A more simulated feel would be greatly needed for this game to come close to mediocre. The director tells you what to do while you should be doing it, instead of telling you before you should be doing it. Overall I give the stuntman demo an E for Effort.

This game is fun, but impossibly hard. I fairly easily beat the Lava level. I tried to go after the 5 stars, but I do not see how you could string every event together to get that.
I then tried the Ice level, ABOUT 60 TIMES!!! That was the definition of frustruating. I rarely got to the final jump, but when I did, the ice crushed me everytime. One time I made it through the ice, for the final-final jump and I hit the side of the mountain.
This game could be/is fun. I think it has a really cool concept, but is just too hard. I may rent it someday.
