One of yesterday's more riveting trailers that showed the most potential has got to be the gem embedded above. The trailer is none other than Star Wars: Force Unleashed and man does the opening cinematic make our geeky side go a flutter. And from the looks of things, you'll not only be able to play as Darth Vader's apprentice, but you'll also get to use the force to wreak havoc. Give the trailer a watch and fantasize about the many ways you'll be able to unleash the force.

Holy shit! Uhmm I'm sold. So long as I can cut limbs off and chop some people in half with my lightsaber. Jedi Knight was one of my favorite PC games of the last 10 years. Can't wait for this...now just get this trailer up on live so I can hear it in sweet 5.1!

I dunno. Kinda reminds me of that shitty Matrix game where you thought it would be sweet, but once you did all of the cool moves on the first stage the rest was repitition. Hopefully it'll be worth a damn...

The animation and gameplay looks really rough. I was really excited for this title before this video. They'll have to smooth things up a bit to get my money unconditionally.

An odd way to phrase that sentence, seeing as "[playing] as Darth Vader's apprentice...[and using] the force to wreak havoc" is and always has been the selling point of the game.
At any rate, it looks very fun, and I can't wait.

Looks sweet as hell. A shame its not from the Jedi Knight makers but it still looks like a purchase to me. However I do remember way back when Episode 3 was looking good too though and well, that didnt turn out so great.

Took down a Star Destroyer wouldn't be hard if you can force choke the pilots from a good distance. Or manipulate the controls. A large oceanliner still has just a few key control systems and a few key personnel. Not impressive really... :D

He cant be that powerful if he wasnt around for the skywalker years! and speaking of that i thought only 2 sith at a time could be around, wheres vaders master gone??? and in reply to 11 he isnt jedi he is sith and i beleive yoda is the most powerful ever but then maybe skywalker was, but then maybe vader was???? but again vader was jedi(anakin) until he became sith, ok sorry my fanboyism is showing

Im just hoping when you hit someone with a lightsaber it cuts through them rather than hitting them back. It seems like a small thing but it a lot of games it ruins the cool-factor for the lightsaber for me. With the advanced physics present Im hoping their momentum will keep them going, but in bits, rather than sending them flying like a baseball bat

The problem with that is that it would make every enemy a one hit kill. Fun, but the kind of fun that would wear off really fast and drastically unbalance the game.
Personally, I wish they'd stop putting these games in the same time frame as the movies. Since you have to top each successive game, like with the guy taking down the star destroyer, it gets a little excessive. KOTOR had it right setting it in the same universe, but far away from the movies.

Game looks bad ass. Cant wait to play it. and to answer the above question if anyone cares to know or already does, there are not any rebels yet. The empire as not been fully established as rulers of the galaxy. Thats what this whole game is about. You taking out any opposing force still loyal to the old republic.

Anyone see a movie called 'Empire Strikes Back'? It was a HUGE deal when Yoda lifted an X-wing out of the swamp. This yokel grabs a friggin Star Destroyer from orbit? This guy would be more powerful than Vader, Yoda, and the Emperor combined. Why would he bother to be Vader's apprentice? As we saw in Ep 3 the stormtroopers and TIE fighters were on the Emperor/Vader side - they switched sides and killed all those Jedi.
