In Philadelphia, 13-year-old Jahmir Ricks stabbed his older brother Antwan in what was believed to be a dispute over a videogame. According to the report, a house rule for the boys was that if you lose the game, you lose the joystick. Antwan was apparently unwilling to pass the controller, so Jahmir stabbed him twice in the chest with a steak knife, piercing his heart and lung. Antwan was pronounced dead in the emergency room. His brother stands charged as an adult with first-degree murder. Police chief Daniel Kortan was quick to point out that videogames were not the direct cause and the boys weren't acting out or mimicking the game they were playing. It was two boys fighting over whose turn it was to play, and things just got out of hand.
