PSP cult favorite LocoRoco is coming to the PS3, but it might not be in the form you expect. At Sony's Japanese PlayStation Premiere event, the company announced the tentatively titled Buu Buu Cocoreccho! by LocoRoco, a sequel that is "LocoRoco, but it's not ... a peculiar extra chapter."
The announcement, as translated by IGN, goes on to cryptically state that "even if you don't play it [as in control the game], the world and the LocoRoco will play [as in both playing amongst themselves and as in playing back like a video] on their own." So is it a game? A glorified screen saver? A virtual LocoRoco ant farm? Who can say?
Whatever form it takes, the "game" will use Sixaxis motion controls and should be available as a PlayStation Network download soon.

Please have the option for non-motion controls. The game was fine on the PSP without them.

flOw autoplays if you dont touch the controller.. the creature sort of swims around avoiding things, but, people can pick up the controller and jump in to play anytime.. so, it makes the PERFECT screen saver at parties if you want to impress people with your bravia xbr3.

I hate to say it, but once you've played a game like LocoRoco or Katamari Damashii, what more fun is there to be had from a sequel? I can understand a sequel when there is a story to be told (Like MGS4, and Halo 3 etc) but a sequel to a game that was more or less about getting your blob to the other end of the level again and again? Come on

Yeah I totally agree. It gets boring after a while. Too bad 360 got Beautiful Katamari when it is old already. Oh well, I never bought a 360; got my Wii/DS and PS3/PSP, that's all you need. One for Mini games and another for in-depth games.
