Call it shilling, but just wanted you to know we thanked you on-air for putting us in the rodeo at the beginning of last night's show:

The shirt is feeding off the stereotype that gamers are hermits with no social life. Its for us to flaunt at those who think so.

A T-shirt that says games are bad, yet is actually saying they are good. I think I blew a nerve.

though I pointed this shirt out as a tip, not sure I like it too much, that's why I should probably stop typing comments and design the tshirt idea I have in mind...but first I have to stop playing my 360/wii/ds, aargh must resist!

I'm sure there's a dirty joke about sitting on your Wiis, but I don't think I want to say it....

"Video games ruined my life. Good thing I have two extra ones," sounds a WHOLE lot better and a whole lot less redundant.

That's exactly what I thought when I did my weekly Threadless check on Monday. Saying 'lives' twice ruins the shirt for me.

Actually, I take that back. I would have printed "Video games ruined my life. Good thing I have two extras."

"Now, if you'll excuse us, we have tired, and must return to our throne made of Wiis and review copies of Halo 3."

With confidence in my gamer masculinity, I can safely say I would never wear this shirt.

Maybe it should say "video games ruined my heart, good thing I have two extra ones". Since as far as I can tell they haven't actually lost any lives yet.

It's obviously supposed to be sarcastic. It's essentially saying "Video games have warped my mind so much that I have to use video games terms to explain how they have warped my mind!"

Honestly, do you see someone walking down the street wearing one of those "The voices in my head don't like" shirts and think they're wearing that because they actually hear voices?

Ironic or not, wearing any blatantly video game related t-shirts at all is usually a one-way ticket to a sad and lonely life.

Also, I'm appalled that Threadless users, usually being very design savvy, even allowed this hideous mess to even make it through the voting process. I mean, Life Meter? 8-Bit font? C'mon guys, I thought we had some standards!

I'm amazed at how sensative the gaming community can be over something as harmless as this. Lighten up, by my calculations this shirt implies that we have 3x the life of a normal person.... woohoo!

I actually used to be a part of the Threadless community, and had submitted several shirts into their contests. To be honest, I'm not surprised this kind of drivel came out of them, all of the designs printed if it falls into one of the following categories:

• Food with faces
• Robots
• Hearts
• Things using only cyan, magenta and yellow
• Griffins and Minotaurs
• Giant monsters fighting their giant monster (usually robot) counterparts
• Giant gobs of useless images thrown together like some Jackson Pollock collage from hell.

Oh well. that's why I don't hit up Threadless anymore.

Snobbish t-shirt designers + overly/poorly executed ideas FTL.
