Should PS3 fans be sad about the loss of Katamari Damacy on their system? Not necessarily. Keita Takahashi – creator of the famed rolling series, ostensibly on a break from playground design – has just debuted a new game for the PS3: Nobi Nobi Boy. Considering "nobi" means "stretch" in Japanese, we can probably expect a game that does for stretching what Katamari did for rolling.

Between this, Everyday Shooter, MGS4, Little Big Planet, and the inevitable Fumito Ueda game...
I'm starting to worry about myself.

This guy is just such a jerk about everything it makes it hard to get excited about his properties now. For Katamari to be such a fun free crazy atmosphere it doesn't resemble it's creator at all, and is just a product he made to sell. It kind of destroys the illusion that it was made by a bunch of care free people.
He's kind of like a Japanese David Jaffe.

Y'know, I'm actually getting excited over a PS3. Who would've thought. And forget Wii and it's sexual innuendoes, I want to play NOBI NOBI BOY. YEAH!

I would assume it is simply because Joystiq said "new PS3 game," rather than "new game."
However, I've been wrong before.

No idea. It was announced at the PlayStation Premiere event in Tokyo for PS3, but that in no way confirms an exclusive status.

That it is named "Nobi Nobi Boy" and involves stretching him out to accomplish some (probably very odd) goal.
...or maybe there is no goal. That is also possible.

Awesome. We know basically nothing about this game, but we already have people saying it looks dumb.
You guys are either clairvoyant or asshats... I know which I'd be willing to bet on.

I actually read a spoiler of this in NeXT-May
You will start with a very small stretching capacity, adn will go around the world eating small rubber bands, worms, gum.
As you get bigger you can stretch your way to bigger objects like trampolines and bungie cords, consuming them.
Eventually you will be quite large, at which point you must absorb parachutes, balloons, etc. Your magical space uncle will beam all this matter into a new rubber band ball, to replace the ones he lost.

Are you being serious? It sounded like you were making a joke... and yet, it all sounded plausible considering that this is being made by the guy behind Katamari.
By the way, I got Homeworld 2. However, I've been very busy, so I don't know when I'll get a chance to play it.

Anyway, hopefully it'll be good and help justify the $500 I just plunked down on a PS3.

It's metaphorical. Paper represents journalism and mario represents plumbing and sewage.

@Joystiq: Please don't ban me.
Actually, it's a temporary avatar while Joystiq works on getting the actual system going.

It's funny how he bailed from Katamari and it was given to 360. Lmao, 360 gets all the left-overs.
