I thought the graphics for this game were pretty run of the mill, but then I watched the trailer in HD from E3 and holy shit. Amazing.

P.S. - Where's the fancast you lazy f**kers? Major managed to get one out over the weekend, whats your excuse?...just kidding, looking forward to your E3 impressions.

"Using this dynamic dialogue system, we found ourselves actually listening to what our character had to say, rather than simply picking a selection and skipping to the next prompt. A dialogue system that engages us in the story? Yes, please."

Didn't even think of it like that... very exciting observation

When is it coming to the PC? Or Mac?

No need to buy it on the 360 when there will be a better version within 6-12 months. I waited this long I can wait longer to get the superior version.

"Superior" is a state of opinion.

I don't think it's coming 2 PC or Mac. Looks like you'll have 2 play with us plebs on the 360.

I've been looking forward to this game ever since it was announced. I'm even looking forward to it more than Halo 3.

This'll win game of the year, no doubt about it.

How was the framerate in the game? It looked a little sketchy in most of the videos I saw. It's my only concern about the game, really..

@alexy

I've heard that they are interested in making a Jade Empire 2. I have no clue if that's true or not. That being said...I can't wait for Mass Effect. I've been waiting for what seems like forever. September can't come soon enough if you ask me.

Oh btw, KOTOR2 wasn't made by Bioware.

@8

#7 was being sarcastic about pc/mac. U just didnt get it.
Having said that, yes I agree with #7. This is a quality game we can almost 100 percent be sure will remain faithful to the system it comes from. Bio ware is showing Epic whats up and with thier own engine no less. Damn.

@15 rom

Make that November buddy. Peter Moore announced at E3 that it will be shipping in November.

While it sucks to have to wait longer, I think its a good idea. Not only will this give them extra time to polish the game, but it will allow it to ship in its own light, and not dimmed by Halo 3's shadow.

@SGT Monty

Oops! I wrote the old "possible" date on instinct. I didn't even realize I made that mistake till you brought it up. Good catch. :)
Now I'm off to see the new E3 trailer for the 50th time. Ugh... the wait is literally going to kill me.

Mass Effect is the Next-BIG-Thing in gaming!!!

Mass Effect got all of those awards at the E3, just like Gears of War and Bioshock did. When a game like Mass Effect receives rewards such as Best RPG of the Show, then you KNOW the game is AWESOME!!!

Mass Effect is going to be a HUGELY POPULAR game, because it is SO AWESOME and people are looking forward to it SO MUCH!!!

Mass Effect is the sort of game that needs to be played through several times if you want to uncover all the different facts, because the game is so HUGE. That’s fine, because the Storyline from Mass Effect is one of the best in the history of videogaming. There are even books based on the Mass Effect plot. That sort of FUN replay value is what videogaming is all about!!!

Millions of gamers are going to want Mass Effect the day it is released in November, just like with Gears of War last November!!!

It goes without saying that the last NINE MONTHS of gaming with Gears of War on the Xbox 360 have been the BEST EVER, and only a FOOL would trade them for anything!!!

Just look at the amazing number of magazine covers Mass Effect has already been on in the last year!

People are looking forward to Mass Effect, BIGTIME!!!

The graphics of Mass Effect are the best ever seen on a game console. When Mass Effect is released in November, there will be millions of people saying that Mass Effect has the best graphics of any game they have ever played.

But what is even more exciting is the way the gameplay is so revolutionary with Mass Effect.

The new system of gameplay Communication in Mass Effect is absolutely REVOLUTIONARY!!! It isn’t just an evolutionary system of waiting until people talk, then choosing what you want to say. In Mass Effect, it actually matters WHEN you respond! If you interrupt someone in Mass Effect, the characters in the game will interpret it as a sign of rudeness or an aggressive action!

That type of Communication is a REVOLUTIONARY new form of gameplay!!!

As we all can see, the real-time texture quality of the graphics in Mass Effect is absolutely amazing to look at! The graphics are SO SHARP and DETAILED!!! The lip-syncing of the humans is amazing! The incredibly impressive lighting works together with the shading, and the textures, and it is all combined into an amazing Sci-Fi visual atmosphere for the game.

The artists of Mass Effect have done a PERFECT job of created a futuristic Sci-Fi atmosphere that makes you feel as though you are really a part of the environment!

Even the sound, represented by voices, sound effects, and music, are all PERFECT for Mass Effect!!! The Voices of the characters are perhaps the best in the history of videogaming! And the music of Mass Effect creates an absolutely PERFECT atmosphere for a Sci-Fi adventure!

The Emergence Day of Mass Effect will be one of the BEST DAYS in the history of gaming!!!

I agree that Mass Effect is going to be a fun game to play with great graphics. It will be a success with keeping Xbox 360 gamers happy, and it will be a sales success. I already have my copy of Mass Effect pre-ordered.

@7,

If you waited a year to play Gears of War, you are an idiot! If you are willing to wait four more months to play it on PC, you are an idiot!

Gears of War on the Xbox 360 is THAT fun!

And I hope you spent several hundred dollars for a new graphics card and a lot of RAM for your PC, because that's the ONLY way you will get Xbox 360 level graphics.

Oh, and I hope you have the same sort of Big-Screen HDTV with 5.1 sound using a THX Audio/Video Receiver for your PC games that you do with your Xbox 360 games!

That is why Xbox 360 is special! Consoles have advantages over PC games! Only a FOOL would wait a year for games like Gears of War, or three years for games like Halo 2!!!

Rather than buying this years Sports games, why don't you just wait a year and buy next years sports games! You have waited this long...why not just wait longer...and then, you can do the same thing the next year!

Razer, why don't you cut your fingers off...you type stupid crap!

In my time with the Xbox 360, I've only purchased 2 games: Oblivion (pre-ordered) and Viva Pinata.

This game will be number 3. KotOR was the reason I purchased the first Xbox (Halo means nothing to me), and the fact that this game is supposed to have that much larger of a scope makes the hairs on my arms stand on end.

I can't wait for November...

By the way, the fact that I've only purchased two games mean that I rent... a lot.

$16.99 per month for 3 games or movies out at once. Beats Gamefly, hands down.

@22 wow shouldnt you wait before it comes out. it looks ok i meen everyone is in some kind of armor even the aliens skins are just like armor and not just the robot ones. arent metal surfaces and hard textures easier to make than lets say skin and cloth it seems like a shortcut to me lets hope the enviroments arejampacked with life and building to blow up and physics better be amazing. The story cant be to drawn out because sometimes side quest can kill a few points on a game score. the graphics so far arent the best i've seen it seems to me the art style is whats getting the job.

I'm definitely looking forward to this. More so than even Halo 3. Halo 2, for me, was a huge letdown after playing years of the first game, so I'm kind of skeptical on how great the third one will be. From what I've heard, this game will deliver unprecedented levels on interaction and character customization that will rival that of Oblivion. This game will be unlike any other game I've ever played before. Being a college student with a low budget, I think I would much rather spend my money on a game like this before I purchased another(Halo3). However, neither game is out yet, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
