Matt Casamassina was right. He did play Halo DS. A genuine knockoff.

Matt Casamassina may in fact be lying, though, since other IGN folks have said he was, and also since every time he says he'll have proof he ends up not having proof.

Well, a few possabilities:
1) Bungie have seen their fans are up in arms over a possibility of a Nintendo console Halo and have stopped it's development and now are denying it's exsistance.
2) Another development team is deving the title hence why Bungie doesn't know about it and MS are laughing their way to the bank.
3) Matt is a lying bastard and should get the hell of the internet.

All 3 points are just stating the obvious though.

I think that he's trying to get someone to make a emulated version [like those ppl did for DOOM] on the DS and wants to "prove ppl wrong"

why would bungie be doing halo on the ds anyways? bungie has said that halo 3 is the last time they are touching the halo universe, but we already know with halo wars that MS is going to continue driving the cash cow.

Halo DS is not dead, certainly not just because Bungie said so.
