Fatal Inertia: back to PS3?

I remember an interview when PS3 had just been delayed in 2006 from July to November, and someone from Koei said they would definitely be a launch title and they've been ready to ship since the original launch date, so any delays for PS3's release only meant more polish for the game.

Those days seem so far gone.... I used to be excited about this game back then, too....

these guys are a joke they probably under shot on the graphics and had to recreate the engine from the ground up after seeing games like motorstorm and the grand tourismo demo. i for one has long forgoten about them and seriously until theres an actually good review i im not willing to pay or play it no matter how good the graphics may be.

Give us a superior, poished and refined version of the game and we will forgive you Koei. Give us a shoddy 360 port, and off with your head.

As I recall, I don't remember them ever CANCELING the game, only "delaying it indefinitely". They cited the fact that the UE3 engine for the PS3 keeps getting updated so often that it's causing development times to slow down.

Maybe they want to make sure we know it's still EVENTUALLY coming? Or maybe it's because Sony is helping Epic with UE3?(which FI is based on)

Wow, SoftTankDefender hit it. When I heard Wipeout was coming, I was like, "Fatal... who?"

We hadn't heard from them, then we heard: no PS3.

But it was easy to take. We'd just been told: Wipeout. PS3.

And there was nothing recent on this game, either, just very old devs, so it was like: MEH.2008 I GUESS.MEH

Too far in the future, so who cares? I agree, show us a product make us believe this was all some clever marketing scheme before you unleash something that blows the socks off Motorstorm AND Wipeout.

Those are the stakes now. That's why Motorstorm and Resistance were smart to get out there first with polished product. You were prepared to be that polished, yet as another commenter noted, now you have to best that, as your competition released something that met the bar AT THAT TIME, and you're releasing a year later with something that looks like the best 1st-generation release.

So they're tweakin. We hope.

eh - this reminds me of ping pong! (I can't wait to hear that it will go exclusive on the Wii next!) =P

Oh, and Koei? Next time you want to talk trash about exclusivity - just STFU. I, for one, will not listen to that BS anymore...
