Heavenly Sword demo is 'in the bag,' ready for release

We've told you how impressed we were with Heavenly Sword, and soon you'll get your chance to find out for yourself. That demo that was reportedly coming in the "very near future" has now been confirmed by
Ninja Theory as being finished.

"Let me just tell you all that the dev team has finished work on the demo ... it's in the bag," said Ninja Theory co-founder Mike Ball in a forum post. "So now it's a case of Sony deciding when they feel is the best time to release it to PlayStation Network."

PlayStation Network releases generally fall on a Thursday and, while we're not holding our breath for a surprise release tomorrow, we are hoping it pops up on the network next Thursday, July 26. Or Sony could hold onto the demo until closer to the game's September launch. Or not.

I'd love for it to appear tomorrow. That would be a welcome surprise indeed. I can't wait to try this game out.

this game is going to be pretty hot. it might be one of the reasons i decide to get a ps3.

Im getting this game on release; although, i hope to beat NGS before then.. those freakin Twin Worms in the sewers are handing me my ass.

Try using the Vigoorian flails with Armlet of Potency. And use that move that starts with a kick(push the analog towards him and attack at the same time). This is a tip from the Xbox version so I can't tell you what buttons to press. Good luck! :)

i used the ninja sword and even thou i got a little electrecuted, just go by the mouth of the caves they come out from and i went nuts with combos, and killed them like in 30 seconds.. but be ready to up your health.. you'll need at least 3.. good luck

Goddess of War, I can see this game getting old real quick. An on rails action game.

I just love how people keep calling this "Goddess of War" just because it has some similar features but alot off things in Heavenly Sword is alot different. It has more platforming in it and it has a second playable character that is based around long range attacks unlike the main character that is melee based.

Goddess of war? Kind of like Halo is a ripoff of Half-life I guess? The difference being that Half life is well though out, fun and you don't have to listen to 13 year old scream about how big their package is. Also, the N word on the xbox live network is getting pretty old. Oh well, I guess xbox folks like that kind of thing.

ZOMG! When is Goddess of War coming out for that psTRIPLE btw? And will there be plenty of blood?

Game looks pretty good. Now I just need Msoft to buy it... I'M WAITING!

Well you are going to be waiting and waiting and waiting since this is developed my a SONY in-House developer which means the only way Microsoft could buy this title is if they were to buy out SONY themselves.

This game was originally going to be on the 360 but Microsoft turned it down.

Now there is something you will never see on Wii !!

I give this game a month and then it will be forgotten. It will also end up in the used pile in every videogame store. Bet!
