Lol good post. I'm wondering what Nintendo has in store for Wii owners after its major titles are released (Mario G, Super Smash Brothers, MP3, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit and Health) the last quarter of 2007. It looks like they have some momentum but it doesn't seem like they have much else in terms of games unless they're already working on Zelda: Mirror of Illusions, Mario Kart Wii 2, Wii Yoga, Super Mario UNIVERSE, Metroid Prime 4: Fornication...

Their 3rd party support sucks.

I busted mine out a few weeks ago to play some Double Dash, but that's pretty much the only action it has seen for months. I'm not really interested in the overpriced VC games.

Bummer for you guys, between Wii games (Madden, Tiger Woods, TP, SPM, RE4), GC games (Metroid Prime, MP2, Melee), and VC games (LoZ:LttP, Paper Mario, SSF2Turbo) I haven't been able to shut my console off since launch.

I could see myself playing my Wii all the time...if it was the only game machine I owned. Unfortunately for the fanboys I own all 3 plus a PC plus 3 mobile platforms.

When you've got the whole gamut of games available to you for play your Wii is not getting turned on, thats just honesty.

That song didn't fit as well. The lyrics seemed stretched to the timing. Their parody of Wii Fit works since everyone can imagine that. This video almost feels like a parody of itself.

I found it funny.
If that's the best the funnymen at sarcastic gamer can hurl against the wii, then the wii is looking pretty good compared to the sound thrashings they give the ps3 and 360.

As someone above me said, IF I only owned a Wii then maybe I would play it more often, but having other choices has all but relegated my Wii to "that glowing blue thing under the TV" hopefully that will change in the near future...

I hope more 3rd party support for the Wii because in general, Nintendo games don't appeal to me.

If you don't like Nintendo games then you should have bought a 360. Why would anyone who doesn't like first party Nintendo titles even think about buying a Wii? Really. I'm expecting an explination.

As much as you all might loathe the video, you have to admit, it has valid points. No HD out (good thing, since then you could really see how poor Wii graphics are in comparison to 360/PS3) Poor third party games, a problem which nintendo has had for ages on all of its consoles, you probably DID finish all the VC games a few years ago.

However, this will ALL change when Lucasarts gets their stuff together and makes a good lightsabre fighting game

No it won't. There still won't be graphics anywhere near the level of the PS3 or 360, and Nintendo'll still have poor third-party support.

The Wii was great in concept, but when applying it to this generation of gaming, Nintendo's crippled it.

I would've sold mine were it not for the Wiikey. At zero future cost, I might as well keep it, especially now that my 360 has to once again go to Texas and there's still nothing I want to play on my PS3.

That's something the video forgot to mention: mod chippers love the Wii's old-tech insides, since it made modding it a cinch.

I actually own a 360 and a Wii. I never touch my 360. I mean sure, its fun if you like the same old FPS and action games, with prettier graphics.

I just recently picked up my Wii a couple months ago. I haven't turned it off since I got it, and thats just from playing Wii games. Seriously, you people should you um.. know trying picking up different games besides the latest FPS every once an awhile if you think the Wii doesn't have games.

Maybe we don't um... give a shit about the Wii's different games. Again, you're lumping 360 gamers into the stereotype that they only enjoy shooters. If you enjoy your Wii, good for you. We don't care.

The Wii is selling only because of price. If the Wii were 400 bucks like the 360 the Wii would bomb. Nobody in their right mind would choose a Wii over a 360 if they both cost the same. If MS drops the 360 premium to 300 bucks this year then the Wii will have some serious problems.

Not true at all. Price is no biggey for me, I just don't like to have a choice between playing the latest FPS and...um...er...another FPS. If that floats your boat, great. Good for you. I personally am bored to ttears by FPS games and need something different for my gaming needs.

If you raise the price of anything the demand will decrease. Your point is silly. The question is why would the Wii ever be priced at $400. At $250 Nintendo's already making a profit on a product that most companies sell for a loss. If Nintendo priced it at $400, and it bombed, then they'd lower the price drastically in order to increase the demand. The only reason Nintendo would price the Wii for $400 would be if the system was a lot more expensive to produce and that would mean a serious bump in processing power. Then it would be like a 360 but with the new controls but no online (since Nintendo hates online gaming)

keep in mind that if the wii were the same price as a 360, then it would be much more powerful and have HD graphics.

@Wolff,

Wow, what's it like living in a fantasy world? I own about 25 games for the 360... guess how many are fps? If you guessed just 2, you are correct. The rest run the gamut from rhythm games to rpgs to racing games to action titles.

For the Wii? I've bought/borrowed/rented close to 40 games now. Would you like to know how many of those 40 don't suck? 3 of them, and you can probably guess which games. The Wii has potential in theory, but the controllers aren't accurate enough, the graphics are ass, and the cpu is weak enough to impact the quality/severely limit the potential of the games. It's a weak-sauce setup good only for drunks, children, the elderly, and non-gamers.

All these Third Parties are supporting the system. Why exactly does the support suck again? I'm really confused on this one.
