Nice to see you guys in LA. Hope next E3 will be worth the jaywalking and the illegal u-turns!

I never understood the whole tickets for jaywalking thing. It's a victimless crime, like burning down a bar for the insurance money (if you make it look like an electrical thing)

you guys were doing well until everyone died

I live in Philadelphia. I could walk out in front of a police car in the middle of a 4 lane street and cause a massive pileup and not get a ticket.

My friend was once chased by a gunman on the freeway, and 911 told him that they couldn't help unless he pulled over.

I always thought it was just to get money for the city. That's why cops catch speeders more towards the end of the month, because they have to meet their quotas or something.

Wow! You guys look like you had a blast! Great post, and I love all the photos. Ever think of starting a photo sharing account on Flickr or something where you can just put up lots of Team Joystiq Fun Time Photos? I know I'd love to see more antics like these!

And how many times have you had the chorus of 'Santa Monica' by Theory of a Deadman stuck in your head (Otherwise known to gamers as 'That song out of Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit').

Or is that just me?

And since this is an 'About Joystiq' thread...when do we get to change our avatars? I thought that was coming after E3.

...granted, it's JUST after E3 now, but still..

we're going to officially say, "no comment"

unofficially, we're hearing whispers of "soon" ... but we heard those same whispers pre-launch. Speaking of which, should we really be hearing voices?

Hearing voices of good spirits is good for you. Of course you'd have to be good and in a good mood to invite good spirits to bring good to you.

There was a British survey that some third of people hear voices. But of those with depression the voices were bad and those happy those voices were good.

I'm amazed at how many articles I can use this on.
Pirates wore eye patches for night vision.
Works for articles about pirates, homebrew, emulators, patches for games, bugs, ninjas, and any thread that devolves or involves any of them.

I'm also wondering if we could log in so we don't have to input our password every time. That we could change our password. And most importantly if the sister sites will get revamped as well.

I've totally lost you and Jody here ...

Moving on ... logins. Yes, the profile system will allow you to change your password and avatar. You will not be able to "login" -- ie: maintain a session -- but you can always ask your browser to remember your password for this site. That's what I do, works like a charm.

Re: spinoffs? Yes, they will all get the new comment system and some variation of the new design in the future. No ETA on that project at all.

Gah, I should have been there to assist you when crossing the street. Remember to look left, then right, then left again, and run when you see the cop!

Oh and Barb's tats look awesome, not some lame ass tribabl tattoo (ducks).

Thanks for the wild ride Joystiqers. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have.
Oh, and KUDOS for JOYSTIQ for MOBILE. I just discovered it recently and luckily at the start of E3. Now my Pearl gets a lot more use now than just corporate email and Brickbreaker.

Thanks again!!!

Love the pirate reference.

It was fun hanging out with some of the 'Stiq peeps at E3 again this year, even though in a different setting. I did not, however, miss that crappy Ramada Vlad booked for us last year. I poop on crappy Ramadas.

I always imagined Ludwig as this tall, bearded, Galdalfish fellow who would look down upon you and say "laugh!" ...and you would.

Yeah, the coverage was incredibly helpful for me, since i got up late and missed the first half of Nintendo's presentation, i was able to read it all, then get the live feed from the G4TV site (which i think was nice of them to offer, since i don't have thier network, and didn't want it interrupted for ads anyway)

A good insight into upcoming games and whatnot all over the place. Also, i would think that the appropriate system would be to pool a wide (key word) range of video game characters and such to allow users to pick in a normal confirmation E-mail, and then give users one unique password that not only ties in thier name, but their chosen avatar
