The fact that you guys (yes, the people who write for this blog) automatically took the first wiff of information as truth is disappointing. Topics titled "HALO 3 HAS NO ONLINE CO-OP" was a gross misinterpretation of the information in the leaked pages of EGM - it just showed that you yourselves didn't read the information and just sensationalized it to get attention. The crap you've posted is whiny and bitchy at best.

For shame. I expected more from the lot of you.

@53

Ur a moron, just because I dislike halo 3, U think I am a ps3 fanboy? There R many fanboys here that I am sure are very well aware of my feeling twards sony and the ps3. But with idiots like U, I just may give the ps3 a chance. I have no idea what U are referring to when U smention the graffix i halo 3, there not getting better,lol! U really need to look up the word delusional in the dictionary. This is the kind of gamer I avoid on live. If you dont understand what I ment about Halo 3 getting uglier and uglier U have no buisness commenting to me what so ever. And how the hell do you mistake the number 19 for 34? Its people like this I was referring to in an earlier comment, about "Blind love". There are so many of U just ready to jump off a bridge if Bungie says the word and thats sad.Fools.

@49

I dont spread no gospel to any1. I say "this is what I heard" if its not fact. I talk games with people, and in those conversations I mention what I have read off the web. 90 percent of the time things like this DO come to pass. Other than that, I am impressed how you responded to my rebutle. Your ok in my book.

I will say this. I think Halo 1 and 2 are amazing games. 3 will most likley follow suit.
However, I do not feel the Multiplayer Vs aspect of Halo is worth a damn in any halo game. I get the game for the story and thats it. Dose halo deserve to be mentioned as the great thing of this generation in a comparasion with Star Wars like Moore said? FUCK NO LMAO! It just isnt. Its just a game right now. Now put it into a film trilogy with someone like Peter Jackson or James Cameron making it and its got a chance.

So if it's that difficult to implement, how did they make it happen in Crackdown? Sounds like a Bungie cop out to me...

OK, first off, even though I haven't actually played the beta *sob* from what I've seen of gameplay demos the graphics are amazing. All you guys complaining that the graphics suck are out of your minds. I've seen alot of footage of new games (fps, as well as any other genre) and I can honestly tell you that halo-3 easily stands up to, if not supasses, anything coming out in the forseeable future. You whiners and complainers are just that: whiners and complainers. The kind of people that could have billions of dollars, a super model wife/girlfriend, and still bitch that the world had dealt you a bad hand. Quit fuckin cryin, goddam bitchin makes ur dick shrink (that is if you losers ever had one in the first place)

Now as to the lack of online co-op. Do you seriously think that bungie, the premiere MS development studio, wouldn't have xboxlive enabled co-op?? Online is what xbox is all about, period. It's the whip that drives the system forward and keeps gamers coming back for more and more. I mean honestly, name one game, JUST ONE, that people give a rats ass aboot that has come out on the 360 that doesn't have online capabilities. Bottom line, don't get ur panties in a twist because of a rumor, just relax & except the string and all will right with the world.

Perfect Dark Zero was an Xbox 360 launch game that used Pre-Alpha Development Kits that only gave programmers the ability to use ONE of the SIX multi-core CPU Threads on the Xbox 360 hardware.

Perfect Dark Zero included a Campaign Mode with Two-Player Online Co-Op.

Gears of War was released a year later, with access to the Final Version of the Xbox 360 Development Kit that was finished in the summer of 2006.

Gears of War includes a Campaign Mode with Two-Player Online Co-Op.

The upcoming game called Unreal Tournament 3 will feature a Campaign Mode with FOUR-PLAYER Online Co-Op.

The upcoming game called Unreal Tournament 3 will also feature a Campaign Mode with FOUR-PLAYER Offline Co-Op.

Epic recently said in an issue of Official Xbox Magazine that it is actually more difficult for them to include the Offline 4-player Co-Op Campaign mode than it is the Online 4-Player Co-Op Campaign mode.

If Epic can create a Four-Player Online Campaign Mode, and if Bungie can create a Four-Player Offline Campaign Mode, then it is logical to conclude that the ONLY reason why Bungie is not going to include a Four-Player Online Campaign Mode is because of a lack of time to program that feature into the game.

In all honesty, when you consider that games like Perfect Dark Zero and Gears of War had raised the standard for Online Performance SUCH A LONG TIME BEFORE the scheduled release of Halo 3, Bungie should have realized that they should NOT have been designing levels where there are "Miles of seperation between the characters."

One very easy SOLUTION to the problem that Bungie is talking about is to make it so Halo 3 is played online on a level-by-level basis...not entirely through the game, like it would if you were playing on your own. That way, gamers can easily play online through all of the leves without "miles of separation," and the levels "with miles of separation," don't have to be placed in an online environment.

Bungie...if you can read this...tell Microsoft to GO TO HELL, and you ask to release Halo 3 in 2008 so that way you can program AT LEAST a Two-Player Online Campaign mode into Halo 3!!!!!!

Bungie, the bar of performance has been raised. What was okay with Halo 2 last generation, is NOT okay this generation! Online Co-Op play is something that SEVEN MILLION Xbox Live users FULLY EXPECT, because that is the NEW STANDARD that is now in place!!!

Do NOT release Halo 3 without Online Co-Op!!!!!

That will mean we waited THREE YEARS looking forward to something that was a disappointment. That is the sort of disappointment similar to the Playstation 3...

and Playstation 3 was voted "Biggest Disappointment of the Year" by TIME Magazine and USA Today.

I wonder if Halo 3 will be voted "Biggest Disappointment of the Year," like the Playstation 3.

I also wonder if Halo 3 will simply receive "Mixed Reviews."

Delays are FULLY UNDERSTOOD in the videogame industry!!!

EVERYONE will FULLY UNDERSTAND and WELCOME a delay if it means we get to play Halo 3 in an Online Co-Op mode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Halo 3 doesn't have an Online Co-Op mode, I will cancel my preorder and only buy a used version of the game.

Konami isn't afraid to delay Metal Gear Solid 4 until the spring of 2008, because they want that game to be the highest quality level possible.

I want HALO 3 with AT LEAST Two-Player Online Co-Op!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Preferably Four-Player Online Co-Op, because that is the new standard that is in place with games like Rainbow Six: Vegas!!!!

I was disappointed that Halo TWO didn't have online co-op, and I loved Gears' online co-op.

To think Halo 3 will flat out not have online co-op is very saddening, but I'll still get it obviously. It's not a major priority for Bungie compared to perfectly finishing the Halo trilogy story-arc and refining the online multiplayer which people will no doubt be playing for years to come (as we still do with Halo 2).

They may be able to implement online co-op via patching in the future, but I doubt it. Still, at least you can still play two-player Halo 3 campaign on the same console, which will be just as fun as Halo 2's at least.

CCC ...

You don't come off as a person who's very sure of himself...

Your thoughts and arguements are scattered and it seems as if you just want to bash this game for the sake of being different...

There is no room on this site for extreme pessimism and I honestly believe based on your comments that you don't know very much about the intricacies and details of Halo's Plot...

If you appreciated the beauty of the storyline and believed in the abilities of Bungie to produce a high quality product as they have done before... I don't believe you would have the same mentality...

Please stop wasting your and our time...

If you have an opinion that's cool but don't sit there and bitch and whine and complain about something you obviously don't know much about.

THIS is the truth and no one else can say otherwise because that is just the way it is...

Halo 3 will be a great game, it will break sales records, it will conclude a very complex storyline and it will break a barrier in gaming in terms of scale, size, and epicness.

Those are the facts and ANYTHING else is speculation until the day of Sept 25th... PERIOD

i appreciate this site i also like the dialog discourse all opinions are valid and the user picks the idea most inline with their desire. i personally cant see howthe time difference between halo CE and Halo 2 was barely over 2 years almost the same time between GTA SA and vice city any i wasnt imressed however the new one looks cool and its had 3 years to cook, same with halo3 halo2 was NOV 04 and were coming up on Sept 07 is it that impossible to think that bungie has other arbitor size secrets to drop the bomb on H day

Am I crazy, or does Crackdown prove that the objections to a complicated world with real-time tracking of large distances and multiple events is entirely possible?

Have they never seen online co-op in Crackdown?

@62

U are a retard.

Lets see, Halos plot right? U think I dont know what it is? U come off like a crack smoker. I dont believe in Bungie at all, they are a scrub company in my opinion with a 1 hit wonder on thier hands. Give me another game they have made that has seen success on a console. EWhat R U gonna say? Brute Force? LMAO! Frst of all, Bungie could have released a version of Halo 1 for the Xbox with online play but they didnt. Then Halo 2 time, STill no online co-op even though its right there in the online options like it was ment to be but, its just not there. ANd now here we come to the third and final time bungie will mean anything to the industry and they fail again apparently. ANd they always have some excuse for why they couldnt do what the fans wanted with each and every Halo that has come out. Hell I even have video footage of some Bungie guys saying they know they royaly Screwed halo 2 up but it still sold like crazy because U guys just got some magical hard on for it. I DONT CARE WHAT U HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT, LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER HALO 3 RELEASES, I PERSONALLY GUARENTEE BUNGIE WILL BE SAYING THIER SORRY ABOUT SOMETHING THEY FAILED TO DO.

Yea, Halo 3 will break sales records and all that crap because of all its blind followers and the hyping snowball effect of the whole thing. I like the story thats it. Give me a week with it and I'll have it beat on all difficulty settings and be done with your "Game for the gods" LMAO! As far as its sales go, those records will only last until GOW2 hits anyways. Im done with this comment.

the halo campaigns have never been "single player" - you have that option, but you've also had the option to play with a friend. why not extend that through xbox live??? that was always my favorite way to play the campaigns, and i'll be disappointed if h3 doesn't let us do it over the net

There are some things to take into consideration here. First of all, Bungie has stated in some updates that the EGM interview occurred about a month ago, and they've been working on getting it together ever sense. 3 months is plenty of time to get this up and running. Like stated above, Bungie knows this is a high priority of fans, and I'm fairly sure they will do everything they can to get it up and running by launch time. If not, I'm 99.9% sure it will be available as downloadable content as the first update.
