Atari is really Infogrames with a different name. They just happened to get the Atari name when they took over Hasbro Interactive. There are no actual links between the current Infogrames/Atari and the Atari of yore.

Does Joystiq really want to point out how poorly researched their posts are? This is totally un-newsworthy except to stock traders. Know who else is facing delisting? Oh yeah, healthy corporate behemoths such as Dell. Dell's not going away any time soon due to some "accounting irregularities".

Move on, nothing to see here.

WOAH! WOAH! OH NO YOU DIDN'T

Actually this is gaming news. Since Atari supposedly makes games...

Sounds like you have a lot invested in Atari though from this overreaction of yours.

Thanks Joystiq for the news. I hope Atari bounces back with their title for the Wii.

Yes Atari is much like Jenga in that their precarious situation is filled with taking a block out and sticking it haphazardly on the top to try to foil others. And not sticking to their guns by refusing to do the dares.

If Atari dies again, does that mean Nintendo can put Tengen games on VC?

Jenga for the Wii will single-handedly save Atari and the Wii.
Seriously, check out how awesome it is:

The guy actually says about that Horse and Me game...""We are looking forward to providing the horse-enthusiast community with a rich and authentic game that allows gamers to take care of and compete in a variety of challenges with their horse." I think I might be getting the problem here. Is the horse enthusiast community THAT large and how many of them are gamers? I'm sure somebody will bound in here explaining the Japanese and their love or horse racing games but I still think Atari should be looking to the gaming enthusiast first. Once they get their financial feet back on solid ground then they can gamble with games about dog grooming and the like. Release another 2600 complilation but make it playable on LIVE and you could make some quick cash.

Joystiq wrote the article as if they were facing delisting due to the share being traded below the cap or insufficient volume of shares being traded, which is not the case. This actually doesn't mean that much and isn't an uncommon thing to happen.
