I just dropped a bunch of cash this weekend on HD movies. I'm going to pick up the bourne movies now that they are both available on HD. Now NEXT week is going to be the money maker.

300!!! on HD/DVD combo! w00t!
plus:

Hot fuzz, shawn of the dead, and shooter!

then in August you've got the remake, Dawn of the Dead. That is an awesome movie.

theirs alot of sick HDDVD movies hitting these coming weeks (and this week) im suprised its not being covered anywhere....

Personally i am saving now to get my self a nice hidef screen and then ill be picking up my 360 hddvd drive and a buttload of hddvd's MUHAHAHA

Can we get a running tally of Bluray and/or/vs. HD-DVD with this post each week? A total count of movies in each format would be great.

Blu-Ray has 10 more movies available in the US right now, but HD DVD has about 150 more movies available to it worldwide. (HD DVD isn't region coded like BD is, so you can buy movies from anywhere). There are lots of movies available overseas that aren't available here, like Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix, and movies that are BD exclusive here can be purchased on HD DVD like Underworld: Evolution, Ghost Rider, and Fantastic Four.
