Not content to have swallowed all of our TV watching
after 11 p.m., Cartoon Network is about to start vying for the gaming time of the younger set with
Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall, an MMO that lets you collect miniature versions of characters from the network (not Adult Swim, mind you) and (one would presume) battle evil. The game is due in spring of 2008, and will be debuting at this year's Comic-Con.
As a special bonus, the game was developed in conjunction with Korea's Grigon Entertainment, so kids get a free lesson about the nature of capitalism! If you've fully braced yourself for the staggeringly underwhelming trailer,

Anyone else notice that there was lag in the video at a couple points, like when some girl was jumping downwards towards stairs? I don't think it's my player lagging. Apparently this isn't a very serious project if they're going to do video editing that poor.

I'm sure the folks at Blizzard got a kick out of that trailer.
Honestly, if that video was supposed to show the exciting parts of the game, then it just don't stand a chance unless it's free.

Are we certain this isn't a Wii title?
Oh wait, it's an online game...nevermind.

If theres quests about making live action movies for a cartoon-based tv channel, I'm all over it.

Just saw the trailer, and I guess I'm right if they're doing it "Cartoon Network style". Also what the hell did they do to Dexter? I'm assuming thats who the orange haired kid in a labcoat is when the announcer says "Interact with your favorite characters"

Is this really needed? Why?
Mr Khan @ Jul 24th 2007 7:08PM
Really, there is little on TV better than Adult Swim after 11 pm (Jon Stewart of course, when new, but otherwise the pickings are slim)

This is making it harder for parents to push their kids to play outside than on the computer. 1-2 hours is fine, but a MMO? Kids will be less productive, etc. just so they (CN) can make more money. Greedy bastards who don't care about kids' health

I don't know why, but when I first looked at the picture of the title, I had to do a double take because I thought it read.. "FusionFail"

Any property that is cartoon network made and owned, is complete suckage. Anyone else remember the original Adult Swim? Cowboy Bebop, Trigun etc? And now look what they've done to it >< gahhh.
Oh and noone will play this game, so it should just GTFO
zwarrior @ Jul 24th 2007 9:49PM
If Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, Foster's Home, Johnny Quest, etc. all debuted on Cartoon Network, then their shows don't suck

I wish I could remember when Comic-Con was about comic books. *sigh*
