Aside from the option to play a few extra demos, there's still no good reason for 98% of PSP users (ie. those without a PS3) to update the firmware since 3.30

does this mean i can get a ps1 emulater with my normal 3.50 firmware?

I believe that offical firmware has included PS1 emulation since around 3.03. This update likely improves the emulation so that it works properly with some of the new titles being offered for sale on the PS3 store. (For transfer to your PSP.)

i'll wait till i see Gran Turismo, MGS, Silent Hill, ect before I update. I still havent gone homebrew, sony, impress me.
