The crowning achievement though for Activision has to be that they kept the same logo for over 25 years. What you should really pay attention to is what Activision president Jim Levy says in the last 30 seconds of the video -- maybe we should call him Prophet Levy. Behold Prophet Levy bestowing his wisdom to the masses of 1981.

Man, I loved to play stampede.
Activision did have a team of award winning pasty game designers.

I didn't know Triple H designed Barnstorming. Sweet.

I love the one designer/programmer/artist per game. I bet each game's dev time could be counted in weeks.

Jack Black also did a Pitfall commercial for ATVI as well. Now that's prophetic.

The sad about this video is that it beated Nintendo 2007 E3 conference by a Mile.

amazingly, I somehow missed all those "wonderful" and exciting commercials in the 80's...back then I never looked at who developed/published a game--it was all word of mouth or the description of the game on the box. And back then there WEREN't many developers/publishers. Nowadays, I almost always check the game's publisher and /or developer. There are definitely some names I steer very clear of (HudsonSoft/THQ) unless it receives high reviews, and others that are practically a "must buy" (Squeenix, Bungie, and Nintendo).

lol, notice how the costumed players get as close to the TV as possible in each ad to maximize the seizure inducing effects of 1982 gaming.

To say that haven't changed the logo isn't entirely accurate: they lost the pretty rainbow. I'm okay with that.

Good idea for them to drop the rainbow coming off the left side of their logo.
How awesome is it that they had to tell people how to insert an Activision cartridge into their Atari 2600? I almost fell over when the announcer said that.

I'd suggest a little more research in future...the fact that Activision changed their logo *completely* in the mid-to-late 80s, before reverting back to the original (sans rainbow) seems to have passed you by...
