Shadowrun patched [update]
30
Shadowrun players may have to drop one of their hobbies once they download the new title update. No, they won't be forced to quit the multiplayer FPS, they'll have to give up whatever they've been doing during the hours (OK, minutes) it takes to join a game. In the official Shadowrun forums, lead program manager "Kimona" says that the new update is expected to improve wait times 200 to 300%. The post also promises improved sync times when new players join a game and changes to the party system. There are also some changes specific to Vista.
Kimona isn't saying exactly what day next week the update will drop, but suffice it to say you had better put some major time into that "Bless This Mess" needlepoint over the weekend. Update: Doh, the patch is now live (and has been since yesterday!). Anyone notice improved wait times?

Sweet, glad they're rolling out an update. Connect times are fucking atrocious at the moment. It's seriously about 5 minutes for it connect to a match for some reason.
Hopefully they work on splitting up parties as well, as they do it way too often for my liking.

Except for the Matrix was about 15 years after Shadowrun was created.

I'd love a pillow with the joystiq logo on it. If you send me a pillow I'll send you a picture of my dog doing the nasty to it.

Game sucks still. Animations are horrible, 3 game types. It should have been a downloadable title for $14.99.

doesnt matter how many people (who havent even played the game) bust ont this game becuz of how overpriced it is (which is true), it won't make it any less fun.and it is the funnest FPS i've played so far, because all the other offerings are too 'hardcore', and take themselves way too seriously.

the bug occurs in dwarf beer hall if your minions have a spoke to the wheel that opens the door and you accidently or intentionally go thru a portal you can NEVER complete this level. Pc got a patch but its uknown if 360 users ever will.

I would like to see a Top Ten List of game bugs, don't think I have ever seen one of those, would make a nice change from "Best games" or "worst games" etc.

The wait is DEFINITELY improved. Now if they could just fix some of the poor design issues we would be set. For example: Game type/setup remembers some things, resets others. Can't select a series of maps (only one), can't change game time, rounds, etc... Pretty poor execution since this game is multiplayer only.
Oh yeah, how about making some of the weapons atually usable too? (err rifles)

They originally said the July patch would update and add new features, etc.. What a bunch of liars.
