David Jaffe pre-announces tomorrow's announcement
Some have speculated that Jaffe is working on a new Twisted Metal title, fueled by the notorious "clownsplosion" PS3 ad. Though the timing of this upcoming announcement would seem to lend credibility to that, Jaffe seems to be hinting that it's a non-starter, saying "Just FYI, the game alot of you guys seems to think we are working on, we are not. Sorry to dissapoint :(." We'll let you know Jaffe's actual status when he starts spilling beans tomorrow.

I won't believe he isn't working on a new Twisted Metal until I hear the announcement tomorrow. Even if he denies it, it doesn't mean the game still isn't in development, either by him in secret or by another team. COME ON SONY, GIVE US A NEW TWISTED METAL. From what I understood, the guy barely even worked with the team on God of War 2 whatsoever and it wound up being better than the first one. The guy clearly has some good ideas and been involved with some decent games, but he's definitely been put up on a pedestal for reasons I don't quite understand. As of late, he's basically been turned into a PR figurehead for his studio and Sony as a whole... it's kind of hard to want to pay much attention to him.
