You know what's hot right now? Giant robots. Seriously, the kids can't seem to get enough of them. First you got that Transformers movie that came out earlier this month, and now you've got a demo for Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. ... And that's it. That's not really a lot, is it? Well, upon further reflection, it appears that not only is giant robot fever on the way out, but we're going to have to find some way to unload 100,000 "I Love Giant Robots" T-shirts. Great.
If you need a palate cleanser, there's also a MotoGP'07 demo on Live. It's perfect for when you want to practice speeding away from creditors coming to repossess your 100,000 "I Love Giant Robots" T-shirts. ... Not that we'd ever have need for that.
[Thanks, Machiavellian]

Give it a couple of weeks, I'm sure you'll see them at Hot Topic.

"not only is giant robot fever on the way out"
Thats funny, since Famitsu gave this game 33 out of 40, it sold 100,000 copies upon release in Japan (the first PS3 title to do so) and sold 70 percent of its launch shipment.
Not to mention one of the most popular animes today is a "giant robot" show, Gurren Lagann, which has just been licensed for release in America.
Do you guys have to try hard to write this stuff, or does it just roll out?

You trying to tell us all of this information that is not common knowledge is proof that the giant robot craze is over yet again.
Joystiq has different opinions than me, waahhh.

Not common knowledge? Sounds like you need to pull your head out of the same hole that Mr. McElroy's is in.
If youre going to post a news item, or make a statement at all, about something that isnt necessarily your hobby or interest, you should do a little searching first.
That would be like me saying that the RPG craze is dying, because all we've got is Blue Dragon and really nothing for PS3 other than a port of Oblivion. Ignorance from lack of research is still ignorance.

Saying Famitsu gave it a 33/40 is like pretending that the Gamepro rating system means anything.
BTW, i think this game is better known for the overblown sales expectations (an instant million seller!) that gradually got toned down (ok, maybe a million WORLDWIDE!) but never got met. The whole PS3 exclusive talk was funny as well.
Oh yeah, about the whole Guren whatever thing? Actual Japanese viewership is as close to rock bottom as you can get (raw data for each week is available on the 視聴率 thread on one of 2ch's anime BBS's). Daily DVD sales ranking data for dvd1 looks good for now (google up oricon's site for that), but actual sales figures are yet to be seen.

Gurren Lagann is going to be a megaflop in the US, but I love it all the same. Can't wait for the game that will surely eventually come out.
Eureka 7, a remake of Zeta Gundam (in movie form), and Gurren Lagann all seem to point to a re-emergence of Mecha love in Japan. And Gundam isn't going anywhere, anytime soon (New Gundam anime, Gundam 00, look for trailer on youtube)
I hope they got the voice actors from the anime for the game. Otherwise I'll be kinda miffed.
Downloading demo now, thanks for the info Joystiq!!!
