David Jaffe's first interview regarding Eat Sleep Play
Those defining games will be on the accessible, more arcade-style front as Jaffe points out that a game like Calling All Cars would be the smallest in terms of scope they would tackle. While Eat Sleep Play has partnered up with Sony for a multi-game deal, Jaffe describes his relationship with Kratos and the God of War franchise as "severed," though he says he'd be honored if they asked for his input on a sequel.
Good luck on Monday, David.

His shiny forehead made me scroll down.

Glad to hear the Twisted metal game is not part of the 3 game deal with Sony...but PSN titles?..dude...Well i guess thats good for people who like those arcade/smallscale/indie games, but its a shame he can't pull out any more blockbusters.
Well Sony, it looks like you have to find someone as good as Jaffe to do a GOW3.
Konchu @ Jul 27th 2007 6:46PM
GOW2 was not done by Jaffe and it was good he even references they guy that did in that interview. Should be interesting to see what they bring out though they have some potential.

He wasn't the head of the project, but I'm fairly certain Jaffe was still heavily involved in God of War 2.

Short hair makes his head look fat.

Psygnosis and East Sleep Play (ESP) seemingly have more in common than he thinks, namewise.
Joe Smith @ Jul 27th 2007 7:18PM
How about a moratorium on Jaffe coverage until he ships somethign decent? He is not the god of gaming, no matter what he thinks, and his blather and self promotion got real old a long time ago.
Vidikron @ Jul 27th 2007 9:46PM
You mean something ELSE decent? Because, quite frankly, you're an idiot if you don't consider games like God of War and Twisted Metal "decent".
2kings @ Jul 27th 2007 7:22PM
i love this mans honesty
i wanna see em remake TM2!

I was about to ask why the video got an age verification but the ending left that clear.
Well while I'm unhappy about another PSP game being ported the fact the man is releasing God of war for the PSP kind of makes e happy but I have this feeling, wait no...I'm sure God of war PSP will be ported to the PS2.Whats going on?, is Sony trying to give the Ps2 more juice or developers are trying to make more money by porting games and screw their fans or maybe both.
Well I have here 5 cents that say the man will do a God of war 3 or a PS2 port of the PSP game at least, I mean if his company is really going to develop games of the size between Calling all cars and God of war I don’t think the fans or the critics will be very happy. He cant just simply call anyone who doesn’t like his games “****ing Shaq Fu“can he?. Just kidding but I want that Next-Gen Twisted Metal now!
BTW Capcom has a meaning "Japan Capsule Computers" not very explicit tho'.

I'd rather to David E. Stone of MIT. He's going to use the wiimote to train Orkin and medical facilities etc. He's even planning on curing cancer. Ha wiimote will beat PS3 folding@home to cure cancer.

When I graduated from high school in 1990, I spent a good chunk of my graduation money on an Amiga 500. Psygnosis was the company you knelt before back in that day and age. Later on they proved their pedigree with G-Police and Colony Wars. Sweet monkey jesus, Psygnosis was freaking awesome back in the day!!!
Rod Oracheski @ Jul 27th 2007 8:27PM
So much for the notion Jaffe was going to be anything but a Sony employee.
Tom @ Jul 28th 2007 1:33AM
Hehehe acquired for a shitload of money? Yeah, that'll probably be Microsoft.
na2ru1 @ Jul 29th 2007 12:29PM
Twisted Metal for the PS3 with BIGGER explosions please!
Glennzilla @ Jul 28th 2007 8:20PM
