First footage of Sega's Iron Man, with developer walkthrough

Despite Sega telling us not to worry, we've been concerned over the fate of Tony Stark and the latest Iron Man title. The current director of S.H.I.E.L.D. has had more than a few reasons to sneak into the bottom of a bottle over the years, his PlayStation and GBA outings not the least of his problems. Still, with the film shaping up brilliantly (so says the early reports), there may yet be hope.

Check out the footage straight from Comic-Con after the break. Keep in mind that the game's release is to coincide with the films, so the folks at Sega have until the Summer of 2008 to fiddle with it.

SWEET! it actually looks really cool. i cant wait for this... i know movie/games are usually craptastic... but come on! its freaking IRON MAN.

not suprisingly different from superman returns... or hulk ultimate destruction for that matter. the only game i would like to see done over is a GOOD spider man. the second one was good but the third didnt innovate. and now we have another run of the mill superhero game. so maybe marvel fanboys are peeing their pants, but im just waiting for something drop everones jaw. this unforunately isnt it

The only thing disappointing about that video is that Iron man isnt screaming SEGA! in the end

Is it just me or did I just have a deja vu of Superman Returns The Game sneak peek at E3 06?

Hopefully this game turns out better than /that/ game when it comes out.

some of the graphics look great for this early, but the gameplay is seriously lame looking. And before you mod me down, remember superman returns? Back then the graphics were pretty decent also, but the lame ass 'sandbox for no reason' really killed it. It was fun flying around for about 15 minutes, but after that the novelty wore off and the game was stripped clean and tossed in the bargain bin.

Yeah... this shit looks like it'd get boring after ten minutes. Flying with Iron Man looks like a real pleasure but just like Spider Man 2, once you had to actually do missions and stuff like that you realized how boring the game actually was.

Except for IRON MAN everything else looks bad and the animations are terrible.I think this game is gonna suck.

While it's true the game could suck I don't think it will suck as whole heartedly as your mother does Corbin. She uses her Epic mouth engine technology to great effect.

I have always loved Iron Man above all other superheroes! This game has vast potential but they better work hard to overcome the stereotype that licensed games generally fall into!

Hopefully they kink out the little problems. I didn't like the transition from air to ground. If he slides on the ground, big tracks should be left from the landing or something.

Why's this post have the skrull tag? Anyways, the animations look pretty bad, and the missile catch doesnt look cinematic enough. It looks like those missiles just pop into existance in his hand. AND, his repulsor beams look like bullets.
