Halo Covenant plasma rifle has overheat built in

Jasman Toys unveiled at Comic-Con their line of Halo laser tag toys based on the Covenant plasma rifle, pistol and energy sword. Now all we need is a Covenant Elite costume and we'd be all set for Halloween. The guns even come with an "overheat" where the sides pop open to give them just that little extra bit of authenticity. The rifle is $120 and the pistol is $89, they'll be available in October.

These weapons are full-size replicas, not like the mini versions being created by Master Replicas -- but that's probably why they cost between four and eight times more. But we won't deny the joy possibility of playing laser tag with authentic looking Halo weapons.

They should do some of the UNSC Marine weapons as well. The M7 Caseless Sub Machine Guns and the BR55 Battle Rifle I guess for the similar balance in weapon style.

It'd make sense and be absolutely rad.

Unfortunately, it's against the law to have toy guns that look like real guns. It's so police can identify kids playing laser tag vs punks with heat.

So you could have your SMG and BR, but they'd have an orange barrel and whatnot.

I love anything halo related and even though the plasma rifle looks cool I don't see how its worth $120, and you also have the plasma pistol at $89? Come on what if someone wants to buy the whole collection of halo weapons, it would run well over a $1000.

somehow i find it odd they chose the plasma rifle and the pistol...

why not the plasma rifle and the assault rifle? =)

or just go with the more popular ones, the pistol and the assualt rifle =)

guess the assault rifle would be more expensive to manufacture... but that's the gun i want! :)

not sure how well these will do... none of them are favorites except maybe the sword, i want the sniper, or the pistol, or the assualt rifle!
