I just price matched this at Best Buy, no problem. Got the deal at Circuit City, too. 6400 MS points for $40. :D

Why is everybody annal about getting them right away? If their out of stock, why get mad at them? Just ask to have them shipped to your house or order them for pick up at the store.

I just got back from Best Buy in E. Madison and they price matched them for me with no hassles. They actually said they were glad I came to them instead of Circuit City. 16,000 points for $105 and some change it came out to. You just can't beet that deal.

Hey I live in Lansing, MI too. Let me know how this goes because I was interested in doing this but Im not sure BB will honor it with them being sold out. But yeah, if it works for you, then I'll be there in a heartbeat

A friend of mine went to the Kenner LA store and they told him he had to buy a game to get the deal and that was on any item not just the points.
I am headed out to the one here in GA and I will see if they will order them or not and maybe swing by the Bestbuy to pricematch some. On a side note I see the 1600 point cards have been removed from the website. The deal works with the 4000 point cards which is still a good deal either way, but they limit you to purchasing 4 cards max. Bestbuys website won't sell more than three of the cards at a time

Went to Circuit City at around 7:40 (they close at 8, I was rushing). I walk in the doors, grab one of the ads, then head to the video games section. No 1600 cards. Go up to the register, ask the guy, he tells me to go to customer service/pick ups, they can check in their backroom from there. They say that they don't have any. I ask if I can buy them now and pick them up when they come back in stock, they said no, they only can do that with larger priced items. Off to Best Buy up the street I go. I go straight into the video games section, not only do they not have the 1600 cards, but they don't even have a placeholder in a spot where they should be. I get a worker to check in the back, bam, he found one, I ask him for one more. I head to the register, I yank out the ad, he goes, hold on. A manager who looks kinda busy looks at the ad, gives a little sigh, then goes, okay, and starts typing codes in the register and marks the cards down to 9.99 each for me. I am not sure if I got lucky or if they all will do it, either way, worth a shot.

went to cc today to get the one year live membership and the 4000 point card for $80. knew they wouldn't have any 1600. turns out they didn't have either item i wanted. they didn't even have any for 3 month live cards. asked one of the employee to see if any other store near by would have them and all were out of stock. took a copier of their ad and went to bb to see if they would pm. figure it was on the way home, couldn't hurt. got to bb and they had plenty of both so i went to customer service with the ad and asked if they would do a price match. the lady at the counter talked to a higher up and they agree to do the pm. didn't even bother to call cc to see if they had the items in stock. the lady told me to get what i wanted and come back and she would give me the discount. ended up getting 4800 points and 13 months for about $70. that's $10 less then what i orginally planned on and 800 more points to boot.

So I made it to CC yesterday and picked up the add walked to the video games and no 1600 point cards. I wasn't there to abuse the system and buying two 4K point cards was a backup plan that you can do on the website since it's still a killer deal.
So BB is right across the street and I figure I will see if they will price match first plus reward zone points. I head straight back to the gaming section and they had 5 left. I went to the counter since it wasn't busy and asked them to price match and she first called to verify, but she never talked to anyone, then she asked me what the regualr price was and I explained to here it wasn't a sale price, just $20 for every two accessories you buy and then she just said ok and rang it up $9.99 ea.

One way you might be able to skate the system is to just buy the cards and have BB price match afterwards as per there policy. If won't because of CC not having stock then go ahead and return them. This will avoid the whole calling CC and checking stock situation.

Sooo yesterday i decided to go to cc 5min after they opened. The guy that worked there said a man came into the the store on sunday and bought 6 16k cards and wiped them out. The employee said cc would be getting 6 more according to the computer in a day or so and i could try then. I took the sunday ad and went to bb. the woman in the customer service area called cc then told me that she could not price match because cc was out of stock. I tried one other cc and bb with the same results. Today i said i will do this the evil way. So i put on a shirt, shoes and slacks (outside temp 89f)walked into another bb and walked out with 4 16k cards for $40. The lesson to this story is, when going to war dress the part, when i went to these stores yesterday i had on shorts, sneakers and a jersey with no results. Today i changed into the right armor (pressed button up shirt) with the right weapons (a plan), achievement unlocked 6400pts!!!

I went down today, and after picking up "Hot Fuzz", checked the games section for the cards. I don't know if this is nationwide (yet) or local, but there was a handwritten sign posted by the cards stating that the offer was a "printing error" and that the "real" discount was 20 percent off.

I expect nothing less from a store that tries to sell $40 "MP3 Training Kits" to people.

I went into Circuit City in Everett, WA, grabbed the ad, and checked to see if they had any in stock. Of course they didn't so I drove the two blocks down to Best Buy, and I grabbed two 1600 point cards. When I get up to the counter I ask the girl if I could get a price match from a Circuit City ad.

She looks at the ad, and calls for help from someone else. The new person looks at what I am trying to do and quickly says, "Since Circuit City is out of stock on the cards we can't honor the price match." And that was the end of that.

I expected a fight for the price match, but BestBuy in Bellevue, WA made the adjustment without so much as a blink. I didn't even need to bring the ad since they already had it on hand. They have 20+ 1600 point cards still in stock.
