Of course books are enjoyable. I despise anyone who thinks otherwise.

I listen to books on tape while I play driving videogames. I'm such a dork.

The library I work at here in Brooklyn, NY, has had Guitar hero and other games for about a year already. The games are not available every day, but about once a week in the summer, and once a month in the winter.

My library has Oregon Trail and edutainment family ... My browser's spell checker accepts edutainment... My library runs those kids' games disguised with education.

King County Library System in Washington has been doing "Game On!" for about 2 years now. A friend of mine made the big ALA presentation on video games in the library just this last year.

Ditto. The only non-literature my library carries would be comics.

That's a hideous sentence.

Seattle area libraries have had weekly gaming nights for a couple of years. Oddly enough, they tend to be low-attendance events, with more teens reading in the library than playing games. I was raised on the library system, so I love to see when libraries understand the cultural value of games the way they have with movies and music as well.

Description: Play video games in the library! Drop by for a while or stay for the full two hours. Game systems include Nintendo DS, Game Cube, DanceDance Revolution and Sports ...
