What is 4chan?,It supposed to be funny? because I enter once and there was only hentai, porn and mostly gay porn everywhere you clicked on,it was like a really lousy Systemwars.com.

The internet really makes sound 4chan like something 157,875,623,527,257,455,787,768.09x times better than it really is.

The U.S. sales will definitely pass the Japanese sales very soon. Pokemanz always sell better in the U.S. than anywhere else, and the game's been out in Japan forever by now, while it's still selling like mad in the U.S., where it has much longer legs.

Pokemon never died out. The Real Fans always stayed and the poser people who were just in it to be part of the 'cool-crowd' back then. Its actually MUCH better that Pokemon has this underground-ish community IMO because other people were just so negative about it and the ones that were are the ones whos calling it a fad.
Also the ones who called it a fad just sucked at playing it from the get go. =/

Maybe the peak of 'Pokemania' has been dead for years, with popularity of stuff like the TV show and card game declining (not 100% sure since I don't live in America) thanks to more competition with crap like yugioh, but the video games are getting more popular if anything. Especially the proper RPG ones, as Diamond and Pearl obviously are.

If at any point in your life you ever thought Pokemon was cool then you're still pretty much a kid. Pokemon never lost popularity you just grew out of it. When you became a teenager other kids were there to replace you as Pokemon fans. It never went underground.

10 freaking years and the game havent change a bit,I dont know if that is something good or just sad.

The pokemon melee attacks needs a fix,A giant glove comes and slaps my enemies,WTf?,Why there couldnt be a an animation that show my pokemon attacking?,why a damn glove?.Really I could forgive the GBC and the GBA games for that but c'mon 10 years people.

Again, from what I mentioned before. If you really can't see the changes in the game, you really DO suck at playing it. Each generation the strategy gets unbelievibly complexed from Hold Items, movesets in general (over 200+ movesets), breeding, berries mixing combos to up stats, EV traing, IV training, Abiliteis, Personalities, Double Battles, the Pokemon THEMSELVES with their Type traits, Evolutions, and new WAYS to evolve them with each generation... and all you can think about it just a hand that comes up?? Animations are great and all, but it really shouldn't be the focus. Thats what the console games are for, really.

The games have changes much in the 10 years.

So what you're saying is, you have noticed any of the core gameplay changes over the past 10 years because you're too busy watching the pokemon dance? gb2halo.

No longer playing it as my primary game, not since i beat the Elite 4, but Pearl is still played almost daily, just to explore all the places that open up afterward and to look at the other 330 Pokemon that suddenly become available...

Oh, and if you ask me, the only thing that ever gave Pokemon its bad reputation was that hideous 4 Kids Anime, nothing else about the game could really be deemed objectionable, i think

How are these "official"? Just curious.

I think of them as the following:
1st - Color Generation (from Red, Green, Blue, Yellow)
2nd - Metal Generation (Gold and Silver; Crystal messed this up)
3rd - Advance Generation (Game Boy Advance)
4rd - Dual Generation (DS - Dual Screen)

I like it. It's a RPG anyone can get into and you don't have to play it hardcore to beat the game. But it has things like the Battle Tower where (if you are hardcore) you can get you butt handed to you by everyone!

Why is it still popular to hate Pokemon? You'd think by now that to be a hip hater you'd have to rag on the Pokemon haters, or maybe even the Pokemon hater haters, considering the amount of time gone by. But it's still just stuck on hating Pokemon itself. How can all you self-respecting haters continue to not hate something popular? Don't you care about how cool you are?

"Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl...."

From what I hear, the 3rd in the "Neo Advance series" is going to be Opal. Since Giratina is a play off of Girasol Opals like Palkia and Dialga are plays off of Pearls and Diamonds and Like Giratina are legendary dragons.

I'm looking forward to it. Pokemon really kicks all sorts of ass.

Pokemon Crystal went down as the best pokemon game in history for me. It was the pokemon game with most improvements over its 2 shadows with things like night and day, multiple story lines (GOOD ONES), animated pokemon, genders, exploring the world of the previous game, battle tower, multiple legendary pokemon, and to top it all off you got to battle ash and gary at the very end and thats not even all of the improvements it made. It also used the perfect blend of cuteness and seriousness through its story art and game play to attract younger audiences whilst holding on to the older audience.

PS: It had the best music IMO too.
