Codemasters overrules Overlord PS3 rumor

Speaking to Eurogamer, a Codemasters spokesperson has made it inescapably clear that evil minion sim Overlord will not be conquering the PlayStation 3 anytime soon. "We are not porting Overlord to PS3." Gosh, that's a lot more direct than we're accustomed to in the world of video game news. Usually we'd expect something along the lines of "Codemasters may fail to not rule out considering the possibility of not creating a version of Overlord for the PS3 currently at this time not."

The rumor initially sprang from a job listing by developer Triumph Studios which politely asked for a PS3 programmer, one capable of "porting X360/PC code base to PS3." We have no idea what game Triumph is working on next, but we sincerely hope someone sends Overlord writer Rhianna Pratchett a PS3 by the time it comes out.

looked like a fairly good game.. but would'nt have bought it anyway. Not from what i've seen of it anyway.

Great game! Been playing it a lot and it's definately a nice addition to the 360 portfolio.

Isn't this game also based on UE 3. Lol do you really think that porting this thing could be done efficiently right now.

This game isn't massive, or epic, or really that great. But it is surprisingly fun and amusing.

On a side note: I just got The Darkness in on Gamefly. While the gameplay is so so, I am really enjoying that game. I didn't realize it had such a well done story element.

And you gotta love the direct quote. UNLIKE Konami which is just stalling so all the ps3 fanboys won't have a massive stroke and heart attack.

This is a game I would recommend to anyone, just as long as you rent it. I was able to beat this game in about a week, and that is with only playing here and there. The game is pretty fun but kind of short, other then being short there isn't much options in the game either. I wish they added more RPG elements into this game.
