It's Official: Halo 3 has four player, online co-op [Update - Details!]
Speaking at a Microsoft press conference in Amsterdam earlier today, Bungie has confirmed, once and for all, that Halo 3 will feature two to four player online co-operative play over Xbox Live. This news comes after months of rumors and slip-ups, but is extremely appreciated nonetheless.
Details are extremely sparse at the moment (chugging a Mountain Dew while snowboarding with a live bear extreme) but we can tell you this: we have Bungie's word. Bungie will be issuing an update themselves on this matter over at their website later today, so be patient and we'll have further information for you as soon as it rolls in.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a complete Halo Fan Boy I admit it I'm sorry I ever doubted Bungie in the first place....God thats even better than I thought.(If you can't tell that's my inner fanboy speaking)
Back to rational thoughts. Great announcement, and I have a feeling H3 will be the most complete FPS in the last 5 years. Hears hoping they pull off what I think they can. Even though everybody wants them to fail for some reason....

I knew someone would bring this up.
Honestly, I just needed something to link and the Dutch sites are the ones reporting it because, duh, they were there.
It it the interbutts and so I asked a buddy of mine at Bungie. He confirmed the story and said that Bungie.net will have their own story up on it later if I wanted to wait.

Bungie didn't say it wouldn't have it. They said they wanted it and were working hard towards it, but were experiencing difficulties and couldn't yet promise it available at launch.
The intertubes over-reacted. But most people, myself included, were still convinced the feature would be available at launch. It isn't that hard to pull off. The guy who brought up the uncertainty in the first place could have been looking to stir the pot a bit, as well.

the good thing is you can get a lot of the retail games listed on the cheap.

Table Tennis is a nice little gem that can be picked up for fairly cheap used. Although it's only two players, it's great by itself, and with a friend.
My buddies an I have had many all-night tournaments.
(the more you drink, the harder it gets)
You might also want to try looking into getting some of those point cards circuit city has on sale this week.
On a side note, why is oblivion still $60? It's been out for almost a year and a half now, and still no drop in price.

anybody know if they're keeping the halo 2 legendary ":if one person dies the whole group moves back" philosphy? Bc if so, moving with four people, at least one of whom is bound to suck could be excruciatingly slow, especially if they keep the jackals as incredible snipers. that being said, i still came a little in my pants when i read this news
