Konami says that for the first quarter of their fiscal year, which ended June 30, they saw $32.4 million in profit and revenue of $509 million. Konami has their homeland of Japan to thank for much of their revenue. Baseball games Puroyakyu Spirits 4 and Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu Portable 2 apparently were big hits there. North America and Europe followed up with strong sales of Pro Evolution Soccer (yeah, that wasn't the Americans), Elebits (Eledees), and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops. Konami thinks it's on track to meet or exceed their projections for their fiscal year ending March '08.
Well, as long as you aren't Atari, the video game industry is being pretty kind right now. Sales are strong, profits are up, and the industry could get bigger than the music industry. It's lookin' like a good year, now can Konami please take that extra money and port over into English their Dream Skincare game? Everyone should learn how to properly clean their pores and take care of their face.

PES (Winning Eleven) would be much stronger and more relevant in America if they included MLS and Mexican teams. Why have 2 different versions for America and Europe, if every team is going to be the same?
And there is a strong soccer fanbase in america that would love to buy a good konami soccer game.

The only way they meet or exceed their forecast is if Metal Gear 4 comes out by the end of March. They really have nothing else coming besides PSN and XBLA ports.
