Yeah, we do have nicer-looking money. I was surprised when I noticed how uninteresting notes from other countries are. Paper sounds so breakable compared to our coloured plastic. It also smells better :D

Colored plastic? Seriously?

Can you fold it like paper or is it rigid?

Yep I can just see hordes of developers comming to Australia because of tax breaks... Australia is just so small that I doubt it ever will be a hotspot for developement or create a blockbuster game.

On the other hand, lots of good Television, Actors, Films, and Singers (my favourite Kylie Minogue) have come from Australia. The Film Industry makes sense to have the tax cut because the have alot to offer especially in presenting Australia to the rest of the world.

maybe their tv/film stuff is popular because of the tax breaks, and the game industry will incrase if given the same chance?

Considering that this country considers all games to be children's toys, what's the actual probability of this getting approved?

As an Australian game developer I couldn't agree with this more, I'd love to see a boost to our industry, to create more job opportunities for me and my compatriots.

There's an election coming up in 2 months, but I can imagine this issue getting lost underneath all the major issues facing the government.
BTW, Australia produces a surprising number of major games. Pandemic (makers of Destroy All Humans) is in my city (Brisbane), along with Auran Jet and other studios.

There are quite a few big developers in Australia.

To list a few:

Creative Assembly, Irrational Games, Krome Studios, Pandemic, Team Bondi, Perception.
