Call of Duty 4 beta U.S. only

Much like a complete disinterest in soccer or the passion to create the largest street-legal fountain drink, the Call of Duty 4 multiplayer beta will reportedly be confined to America's borders. The word came to CVG this morning from Activision, which is currently not elaborating on why the beta won't reach Europe.

Although the blow is really being suffered by European gamers, we in the States are also concerned that Call of Duty 4 won't be tested to see how it handles matches between players from both continents. But don't worry, we're not trying to steal the sadness thunder from the UK. First the Beckhams and now this. ... We're so terribly sorry.
