can you provide me a link that states that this game was a PS3 exclusive ? As far as I'm concerned it's one more 360-limited game coming to the PS3.

Mind expanding stuff which is clearly way too advanced for the majority of amoebic postings below. Just because you can't perceive something does not mean it does not exist.

I have attuned to Melchizedek who gave me power of self-healing and the healing of others. I am now awoken from hibernation in a cocoon, to a new dimension of soul existence described so eloquently in this post. Cynics will change their opinions on this as sure as night follows day...

No, not really. I'm just taking the piss.

Except that it was never actually an exclusive. Seriously, the 360 has DW5 and is getting DW Gundam... wouldn't it follow that the system is also getting DW6?

LOL...you guys are so pathetic.

Really its sad. It was a ps3 exclusive. It said so on IGN and according to people I've spoke to at EB Games and Gamestop.

Sorry but for a while now all I've seen is that its only coming to the ps3.

And now its on the 360. I don't know how much more clearer I can get.

Before: 1 system. Now: 2 systems.

It may not be MGS4 but it is another exclusive that sony has lost.

Seriously why are you trying to start WW3 over me pointing out its gone from being exclusive to multiplatform?

Its really not that serious. I never said it was to begin with. Now if it were Final Fantasy XIII then I would have made a big deal.

No, I'm going to have to agree. When a game get announced, and its only announced for 1 platform, its a reasonable assumption that the game is exclusive to that platform until otherwise stated.

Koei has just otherwise stated. This is a lost exclusive for PS3, because it was assumed exclusive before, and now its not.

Ummm.. no. The DW series is and has been on the 360 thus far. This will be the 3rd DW game on the 360. So it hasn't been exclusive so far. Unannounced != exclusive. Not complicated.

Thank You Crono.

I rest my case.

Continue to make a big deal out of nothing. It was announced for the ps3 first. And therefore I and I'm sure many others thought it was ps3 exclusive.

Now its been announced for the 360.

So...I don't see whats the big deal here. Especially when you consider that I've never played DW before so I have no idea what system the previous games have been on. And even IF I did know I still don't see how that would change my thoughts on the matter.

JonnyBoy2U became GearsMaster then ForceUnleashed

The name may keep changing but the unbearable asshole underneath will always shine thru.

Can we just assume that all PS3 games are coming to the 360? Then you can tell us when that's NOT true, and we'll all save a lot of time.

Ahh, its good to have a Wii60 =)

it's harder to bash the PS3 with a PSP news.. it doesn't create a 360-ps3 fanboy fight so it's less hits for joystiq60.

$500-600 (depending on what ps3 you buy) can provide a lot of fun and enjoyment on the Wii60 combo.

The correct term is 'I could care less' not 'I couldn't care less'.
Seeing as how you managed to make a post shows that you could care less.

@3cube

LOL... no, he has the saying correct, you are wrong. By saying he "couldn't care less" means he can't care any less about this issue than he does.. meaning he cares not at all. Saying "could care less" would mean he does care some because he could actually care less than he does now.

Is that really the correct way to say it? I know everyone says it that way, but it doesn't make sense.

"I could care less" indicates that you do care at least somewhat, which is backwards from the point of the phrase, which is to indicate that you don't care about something.

Everyone seems to be arguing over the fact of this was on PS3..exclusive(maybe?)..who cares. Is anyone really excited about another Dynasty Warriors game anyways. The Gundam game might just be different enough to be enjoyable, but who really gives a flying eff about it now.

I have not seen Koei innovate from any of their ideas in such a long time. They haven't been a major developer in years.

I am willing to bet that, even with a smaller install base, the PS3 will sell more copies of this game than 360 - the 360 owners will be too busy playing Halo 3 and counting imaginary excluives being lost by PS3.

I don't understand.

If you want your game to sell in Japan (and Koei desperately needs their Japanese sales), you need to be on Wii. Therefore all Japanese developers are porting their PS3 games to 360? Doesn't this sound retarded to anyone else? 6 to one and 15 to one sales ratios anyone?

Most of these games would have to take major downgrades to be ported to the Wii from the PS3. Maybe the devs just don't care to do that. Japanese games on the 360 are likely aimed at the N. American and/or European audience anyway, not Japan.

Yeah, I know. If I were Koei, and I had a brain, I'd bloody well make one for Wii. Half the development cost and almost 3 times the install base, of both PS3 and 360 combined. But then I'm not Koei, and they don't have a brain.

Besides, what could they possibly hope a 360 version will do? If everyone turned their nose up at N3 when there was nothing else worth playing, is porting the game to 360 gonna make them any money?

They could put out a turd on Wii for less money than porting to 360 and it would still earn more, but they don't. Ergo, retarded.

Most of all, they obviously have no qualms at all about pimping the series no end, so why the ignorance here? This is just like Tomb Raider; make endless crap versions on everything they can unless it's called Nintendo. Nintendo only gets shit spinoffs, not shit main series games. That's the industry rule and I hate all the idiots for it.

@ Shagittarius

I was reffering to the Japanese numbers

3.26 million Wiis Vs 1.07 million PS3s Vs 0.42 million 360s.

OK, not quite 3:1, but considering Wii' been sustaining 6:1 and 15:1 ratios respectively, it seriously won't be long until that happens.

Yes, Dynasty Warriors sells outside Japan, but Koei shouldn't be doing anything DW that ignores Japan.

I think every Joystiq post should have a separate comments space for people who want to swing their cocks around about which console they bought, and a comment space for those of use who don't need to listen to the incessant fanboyism and trolling.

Listen, when Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo collapses because they lost exclusives/RROD/it's for kids, you can you scream "I told you so" at the top of your pubescent lungs until you pass out. Until then, kindly keep this bullshit in your high school cafeteria. The rest of us want to talk about games.
