Enemy Territory: Quake Wars coming Sept 28 to Europe, Oct 2 to North America

The PC version of id Software's Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is coming to Europe on Friday, September 28 and to North America on Tuesday, October 2, according to an announcement made at Quakecon. The public beta is still going strong, but the final product is now just two months away.

Though previously announced that the game is also coming to home consoles, no details or information have been given. We wonder if this will be made available on Steam.

I played the Alpha at QuakeCon LAST year. I'll believe this when I see it.

now all the whiny europeans can hold their tongues. they get it first. now if we could figure out some way to appease those canadians.

i got it ... halo 3 branded, maple syrup flavored beer, available only in canada. they could call it Molson Motor Oil for Gamers.

If you'd actually tried the beta sidd, you'd know that it's looking way more polished than most games do after about 3 patches.

I believe the date fully. I'd say gold master in about a month.

Decent pub game, but wheres the competition. Where is Nerve which brought us the awesome RTCW multiplayer? RTCW was novel for its day with its classes and obj based maps. No, they got the crappy Splash Damage that started by making a couple of crappy RTCW custom maps (TRAM ftl anyone?) and the crappy Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory. Splash Damage sucks.

Now they want to screw up RTCW2 as well since only Raven is apparently working on it. BRING BACK NERVE ID!!!!!!!
