id announces Quake Arena for Xbox Live Arcade

Also true to the ESRB listing is that Pi Studios -- best known for their work on the Call of Duty series and the upcoming Mercaneries 2: World in Flame -- is behind the port.
No comment as to when Quake Arena will see release was made by id.

Seriously, why not just buy the original Q3A and play on a KB and mouse? If this connects to public servers XBLA players will get owned by the players on the computers. I still play this game on my computer and I have had it since it came out. Also there are like 5 major mods that are played: CTFS, RA3, and some others. What about map packs? There have been like over 100 maps created that lots of people play, and they were all created by the users not id, (except the 3wave maps).
