Picture proof: 'Wrath of the Lich King' is new WoW expansion

World of Raids has snagged a convincing slice of evidence that details the assumed World of Warcraft expansion: Wrath of the Lich King. The pamphlet, allegedly on display at BlizzCon, includes this tell-all features list:
- The dark, necromatic Death Knight, the first new character class added to World of Warcraft since its launch
- Northrend, the harsh, icy continent where the Lich King holds rule, complete with new zones, quests, items and monsters
- New level cap of 80 providing access to mighty new powers and talents
- New battlegrounds featuring siege engine warfare and destructible buildings
- Expanding character customization options including new hairstyles & dances, the ability to change the hairstyles of existing characters, and new skin color variants

Crono @ Aug 3rd 2007 1:02PM
Seconded.
Must hide this news from my wife. I like having those 30 extra dollars a month.

It's awesome that they are adding a new class... but it just sucks that for the first couple of months.. You'll probably see nothing but Death Knights.. Either way, good news I guess...

I love a C&C MMO. EA probably would mess it up but Westwood originally planned one, before WoW was released.
It was pretty innovative as well. It was called C&C: Continuum. Check it out on Wiki.

At least it means they'll be another class, most likely. I don't see where Death Knight falls into Alliance races.
MooseMuffin @ Aug 3rd 2007 12:53PM
How about the human death knight arthas?
Neebs @ Aug 3rd 2007 1:10PM
Well, when he became a death knight, he lost his soul and humanity first. I smell a new faction: Scourge.
cortinator @ Aug 3rd 2007 12:54PM
I might wanna boot WoW up again
samfish @ Aug 3rd 2007 12:55PM
Just in the nick of time, too! I saw a nerd come out of his parents' basement yesterday and I said, "Uh oh...the last Warcraft expansion must be about exhausted!"
I was able to deduce that it was a nerd by the orange stains on his fingers and clothing.
This expansion pack, however, SHOULD keep them submerged in their basements for at least another 6 months.
samfish @ Aug 3rd 2007 2:28PM
Haha! I knew I would get down voted for that!
Anam @ Aug 3rd 2007 2:31PM
Never anger the nerds. You know that.

Joke 1: Sauron looks like he could use a scarf.
Joke 2: Man, the cover for the new Manowar album looks awesome.

There's going to be a flood of Death Knights.

Exo @ Aug 3rd 2007 2:38PM
well you have to get to level 80 first before the class opens up, and itstarts off at level 60-70
bounchfx @ Aug 3rd 2007 1:37PM
man, i wish i had nothing else to do but play this game. but I have a life now, why does blizzard have to make such awesome stuff. I am jealous and want to play, but I know I cannot.
Anam @ Aug 3rd 2007 1:44PM
Just be like me and pay $13 a month to log in once every couple of weeks to dance, say "I really should level this guy up..." and log off.
It allows me to have a life AND pay $13 a month. It's a win-win situation.
phattie @ Aug 3rd 2007 1:29PM
Talk about level inflation.. level 60 dont seem so powerful no more.
Alex @ Aug 3rd 2007 1:53PM
Wrath of the Licking? Sounds like a good porno.
JanJan @ Aug 3rd 2007 3:55PM
