Meh. I bet the hardcore nerds will get this just so they can level up to 80.. dont want to be left behind when their buddies are Level 80 Dork-Knights.
Dork Knight @ Aug 4th 2007 10:33AM
Can't afford 15 dollars a month eh?
Vidikron @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:00PM
I've got a friend that has been trying to cut down on WoW for a while now. I bet this sucks him back in.
Zsavior @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:07PM
They tricked me with burning crusade they won't this time around. I am waiting on Warhammer, I am no playing a rushed expansion made to stop a competitor rather than them fixing the game they have now. What was TBC about then? Just seeing how much they can get away with? Nope not this time. A hell of a lot would have to change bewteen now and then to get me to buy this game.
halobreaker@gmail.com @ Aug 3rd 2007 5:49PM
You can always count on Blizzard for top notch cinema- wait what the Fu'hell?
Kazi @ Aug 3rd 2007 9:31PM
I know, seriously, where the hell is the cinematic trailer? It's the only thing decent about WoW.
Word of the street. @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:11PM
Wow awesome,me wants.
I stopped playing WOW few months ago,I loss 20 pounds since then but I gain 30 pounds when I started posting on joystiq :(.
The real reason I stopped was because of the monthly fee,I hate paying with Credit cards.I rather buy Pre-paid cards. The game was great, best RPG I have played Since Diablo 2.
Blizzard should deliver a Diablo MMO,Also I havent bought an expansion for that same Issue. Is a 2004 or 2005 game,I bet the second I start playing WOW The Lich king there is going to be a new expansion or a new hopefully Diablo MMO will be announced.
jron @ Aug 3rd 2007 5:16PM
dude, you know they do have pre-paid cards? so um, buy some, start playing, and loose 10 lbs :-)
Neebs @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:14PM
Arthas is one of the greatest characters of all time.
Word of the street. @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:17PM
IMO you should go with WOW rather than Warhammer. The board game rules even if it takes ages to play warhammer but the videogames based on warhammer suck.
Warhammer,Heroclix,Mage knight Shouldnt be turned into Videogames EVER.In the case of MTG only Online and thats it.
Weird but the only Card/Board game that works as a Videogame is Yu-gi-oh,well kinda it works but aint great but it has potential tho' the PSP game was enjoyable.I believe it was the best of the series.
Kazi @ Aug 3rd 2007 9:29PM
Wut chu talkin bout? The Warhammer RTS games were excellent. And the Warhammer MMO is shaping up to be a top notch PvP experience. Unfortunately I've been hearing it's combat is like EQ(AKA WoW, why did everyone start calling everything a WoW clone when WoW is still an EQ clone?), which is a real turn off for me. Games like Age of Conan that promise more interesting combat and a robust PvP system is what really tingles my dinky.
Neebs @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:18PM
MMO vs MMO war?
Geek fight!
Hello @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:28PM
Cool trailer.. if only this wasn't the bore-fest that is WoW.
Rayonic @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:36PM
Warhammer isn't coming out for a long, long time. And there's no guarantee that it's not going to suck anyway.
I mean, how many WoW-killers have killed WoW so far? People bitching about WoW here just have sandy vaginas.
Spartacus @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:38PM
In my experience (about three months worth of solid addiction), WoW was only a borefest in the higher levels. I can't put my finger on the exact moment it became a grind fest with repetitive and monotonous gameplay, but I finally pulled the plug on my account at lvl 49. I had a friend that I played with who dropped out of college to keep playing though... sad.
WoW was certainly a memorable game at times. It has a lot of depth, but the dang level requirements are just so freakin tedious. I almost get tempted at times to reactivate my account, then I remember it's $15 a month just to level my character 2-3 levels and get ganked 100 more times by upper level pricks.
Chinese Food @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:43PM
Meh! Just more shit to add to the pile.
When will MMORPGs die? or when will people get bored of playing them?
Waste of time and money, IMO.
Shagittarius @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:49PM
A lame game. The only winning move is...not to play.
Sceren @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:53PM
+1 for Shagi
Neebs @ Aug 3rd 2007 5:03PM
so he's up -87 now?
tetracycloide @ Aug 3rd 2007 4:51PM
emo knights?
Word of the street. @ Aug 3rd 2007 5:14PM
Gothic,there is a difference.
tetracycloide @ Aug 3rd 2007 5:18PM
if the player character is becoming more and more like arthas they're getting much closer to emo than goth...
Mad @ Aug 3rd 2007 5:12PM
Sorry, WoW FTL.
mksolo @ Aug 3rd 2007 5:15PM
sweet, i have not played wow since my account was hacked and banned. well i have not played it much since i had the game. only got to level 60 and decided school was more important. i now must get back into wow. arthus rules!!

Crackjaw @ Aug 3rd 2007 6:18PM
Ehhh, video game nerds calling video game nerds nerds for playing a video game.
And the world keeps on spinning.
raccoon @ Aug 4th 2007 1:05AM
wow, those fan machinima videos just keep getting better!
Bigfoot @ Aug 4th 2007 1:23AM
Definitely buying this for the new dances!
Rob @ Aug 4th 2007 3:05AM
I quit WoW last spring and never looked back. After wasting a year of my life on the game I decided to go back to college and finish my degree. Reality is a lot more rewarding. I didn't give a second look at Burning Crusade and even looking at this I still see a grind fest...The game is basically still the same and nothing has changed.
Premaximum @ Aug 4th 2007 7:32PM
The only way I would consider buying another expansion is if it didn't have an increased level cap.
I'm starting to get tired of MMO's losing all ingenuity and raising the level cap so that they can inject some longevity into their games. EQ was a great game before the level cap got to extraordinary heights.
Krang @ Aug 10th 2007 1:49PM
If you can't play WoW and maintain a life outside of it, then yes you should not play.
I have a particular friend of mine that could use a bit of that advise...
But for a large group of players, this game is a great option. And despite the $15 a month, a very cost effective form of entertainment.
oliver @ Aug 14th 2007 9:52AM
I think it looks okay. I got my guy up to lv 70 and im the leader of a raid guild so unless i get to 80 im screwed... thanks alot blizzard
